Reviews of APPLE BRANDY PRIME CUTS
"The steaks are the best in town. So is the hamburger"
"Sadly I went in half on my in-laws cow who had them beefed here. The taste is fantastic until you find bone...and more bone. I have 3 children and we have depended on this food this year but even though I pick through the ground beef as I cook it we still find pieces of bone while chewing. Tonight I'm cooking spaghetti because my 2 year old loves it and I found 3 pieces in 1 lb so far. Extremely disappointed as this was our first time using this company. We have been working on this beef since spring (and yes every 1lb of ground beef has had some bone, more or less) and I'm not one to complain but as my daughter play in the kitchen and I pick these pieces out of the skillet I couldnt bare to keep quiet about it due to the choking risk. Here are the 3 pieces from just now"
"Great people ordered pork chops cut fresh in the thickness of your choice. Everything was vacuum packed a big plus for me. Highly recommend."
"hours ago We had a very poor experience with AB Primal Cuts. I have worked in the Food Service Industry for 40+ years and owned and operated a commercial poultry processing facility for the past 10+ years. We brought in 5 hogs to be processed, 2 for us and 3 for other customers. Our hanging weight was 597# and we asked for EVERYTHING back and received only 486# that is over 110+# missing or 81% yield in just 4 days of being processed. Other butchers have yields in the mid 90% 's and the hogs in their walkins twice as long air cooling which decreases yield due to evaporation. We lost over $600+ worth of meat. When we picked up the meat, it was all on upright carts, sausage stacked 3-1# packs high and 1st top package frozen and the other 2 not frozen. Meat must have been placed in the freezer warm and perhaps did not reach 40F in 4 hour minimum as required by HACCP Federal regulations. Other area processors the animals are killed, meat hung in a walkin cooler a couple days, processed and froze thoroughly for pickup. Other customers of the other 3 hogs did not get their meat. We called and wrote AB Primal Cuts an email of the process documentation and did not get a response. We disputed the monetary difference with the Credit Card company-my first dispute in over 30+ years. Based on the facts the CC company did provide a 50% return on our loss. AB Primal Cuts shared in their correspondence that they had been in business for years, but they had only been in business for 19 months. Other processors provide a MUCH safer environment from a health perspective, integral operation with customer service. We will not be back to AB Primal Cuts due to their unprofessional business practices."
"We called Apple Brandy Prime Cuts and spoke with the owner about harvesting our sheep. I told him we had very small Shetland sheep and that they wouldn’t be worth $100 to butcher. He replied that the price had gone up and that it would cost $110 each. I told him they were very tiny and I wouldn’t be interested in processing the sheep for that price and asked if he could give me a discount to which he replied he would work something out for me. A few days had passed and I was contacted on how I wanted them processed. I explained tht I would like the legs and chops but if it was too difficult to just grind up and also to process it the most economically since they were willing to give me a discount. When it came time to pick up the meat, I was informed that the owner decided not to honor the discussed discount. I understand he has operating costs but I told him up front I would not harvest those lambs for that price because they were so tiny. I ended up with less than one basket of ground meat for $440. Don’t even get legs or chops. Seth Church lied and was fine with doing so. I will not be back and I would never ever recommend using his services."
