"I’m pretty sure God’s physical address is this camp. My son attended this camp and the changes we saw in him were outstanding. The staff really loves these kids and they don’t give up on them. They work hand in hand with the parents. I felt informed about every trip, every incident, every cough and cold. The 5 weeks there and 5 days home gave us a great opportunity to practice different skills we were all learning and build a new way to interact together. My son grew in His walk with the Lord and overcame a lot of hang ups that were holding him back. My son graduates from the program next week and we are all so ready to be reunited. Cameron has changed my life and given me my family back! I could write a novel on all the ways they’ve helped and I can’t say enough about them. Go visit- you’ll see!"
"I had the privilege of working as a counselor ( chief) at Cameron Boys Camp for two years in the Rangers and Trailblazers. It was one of the most challenging times of my life but also one of the best!! The staff there is still like family to me."
"I went there 31 years ago. Was there around a year and it had its ruff moments for sure, but threw all the time I was there and everything I learned I wouldn't trade one second of my time there. Thank you Cameron Boys Camp for everything. I miss my old group lol. I was in the Beavers with Chief Glenn and Big Momma in the mess hall, the Chief from France who always had us doing vocal exercises. The trips we went on.....amazing times! Learning to whittle and I still do to this day. So many great memories."
"Honestly, Camp was hard. Challenging and very time consuming. The thing that held me back though was the willingness to grow. If you can find that inside yourself you will grow and change and adapt into the person you are meant to be. My camp stay was difficult because I felt like I had to push my agenda. If you come to camp it is very different from life, you have people supporting you the entire way, in life sometimes its just you. For me at camp I felt like I was alone, but that was because I was very stubborn, it made it longer and harder for everyone. I didn't like being at camp, nonetheless it was what I needed. I stayed at camp for 15 months and 26 days. Every second of it I was focused on trying to leave or finding the moment to run, but if I had focused on my goals it would have been better. I hope this helps people who might go there, but my group was there for me and I'm sure yours will be too."
"Cameron boys camp gave me the fundamental skills necessary to be a successful and fruitful member of society. I would recommend this to any young men that have lost their way and need to get back on track. Cameron boys camp saved my life!!!"
