"Loved my hairstyle but when I returned to have her take them out she charged $100, that's ridiculous, I only have 50 locs in my hair & paid $160 for the install of extensions. I politely paid. Wanted to bring my daughter's but you lost a customer with the overcharge."
"Do not do it. Charles is the owner and he outsources the work and talent to whoever he knows. He doesn’t know the prices they charge and you won’t get the same person 2x, therefore you won’t get the same prices. And even if you align on the price with Charles in advance, like I did 2 times before, the 3rd time the lady person said in person - nope, he don’t know the prices - I need $40 more. And I had to pay it b/c I’m already in the chair expecting my hair to be done. I have been here 3 times and this is absolutely my last. The 2nd time I went, the braider was late by 5-10 min but did the job so I got over it. This time, the braider was being pulled from her main job, was 15-20 min late and then we tussled over the price. And she even wanted to start someone before me when I was there first so didn’t get started til 45 min after appt. Finally, the pictures show the ends of the braids were jacked and uneven after she dipped in hot water and cut, and I had to cut them myself at home for consistency. Not worth it. Don’t do it. Too many good braid spots around that respect your time, their word, and good quality."
"I love this shop. Got my hair braided 4 different times. The owner is kind and willing to work with my schedule- I can only get my hair braided on weekends due to work but will open shop on Saturday and schedule me with the first chair of the day . I personally love long thick box braids- can guarantee quality braids that last up to two months Pros: Professional staff Will use your pics of inspiration and copy exactly Price Cons: Time: my appointment was for 9 am- we started at 10 Cleanliness- the shop was a mess The braiders didn't use new tools (comb, towel, etc) Language barrier ( braiders know little english- no a problem to all but something to note) Tips for company: For hairstyle that require a lot of time, shop should schedule two braiders at a time to help assist. Overall, I would recommend to a friend or family member."
"I went to this salon today and while the two people I spoke to prior to coming to the salon are VERY NICE the experience with other people was bad. I had an appointment for 10am and I walked in at 10 that I made a week in advance and confirmed that morning and the lady that was there ( not the one I spoke to) was rude and told me to come back at 12…. that was the first strike…. I get there a lil earlier than 12 Bc the owner told me to go back and braided is on the way so I waited there for like 2 mins and someone started my head at 12. I showed her the photo of what I wanted and said mid back.. this lady btw nothing against ppl who are from a foreign county and don’t speak English but she couldn’t comprehend anything I said to her. Multiple acquiring cusotoners came in the store when it was her and I and she didn’t understand they’re basic request for Cornrow under a wig and or when a customer asked if braiding her was included or when someone sold her a candy bar for $1 each and she took two and only paid $1 and got mad when they asked for the other $1 she owes them. As far as my hair the parting is uneven and huge parts which I didn’t ask for… the hair is not mid back. The issue isn’t that she couldn’t do the style but couldn’t comprehend what I was asking her to do. Which you shouldn’t have someone like that working on someone’s head when they can’t understand basic things. I showed her in the picture I wanted wavy ends and she did them straight and had to fix them later. I think that’s unprofessional to have someone working on someone’s head without having someone to translate that language atleast in the shop. I will say the owners both asked me if she was doing it right but I didn’t want to be complicated because at that time my head was already have done. The style isn’t horrible enough for a re-do and the salon isn’t a complete mess but it has a lot of work to do. What I got vs what I asked for"
"The owner was very accommodating when setting a time for my appointment. He also went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. Very much appreciated! Also, when I asked the lady doing my hair to fix something, she did so without complaining. I was pleased with her professionalism. Overall, it was a good experience. My hair came out great! Will definitely return."
