"I have been a customer at salon for years. The staff has always treated me with respect. My hair always looks beautiful. I recommend this salon with no hesitations."
"They are HORRIBLE DO NOT GO TO THEM. They yelled at my mom for no reason. My mom went to them bi weekly to get her color done and she always pays $60 but today the fat girl that isn’t even the owner started yelling at my mother that it’s $70. Like why are you yelling at your customers ? There is a nice way to say something to a PAYING customer. Very rude workers. Do not recommend at all l."
"THE WORST SALON EXPERIENCE! Let me start off by saying if I could rate this salon a 0 I would. My mom and I decided to go to Maria International to get our hair done from being quarantined for 3 months, when we arrived the reception was unfriendly, the stylist looked like they didn't want to be there. Regina was my stylist, she was EXTREMELY RUDE, had an attitude the whole time she was relaxing my hair. At the wash bowl, I noticed she didn't wash out the relaxer properly out of my hair, my scalp was burning and, I could still smell the relaxer. She proceeded to shampoo my hair without properly washing out the relaxer, I told her that the relaxer wasn't washed out fully, she said ok and still began to shampoo my hair, I attempted to tell her again( I had the same problem with my previous relaxer, which she claimed she washed out the relaxer properly that, afterwards left me with a red scalp and slight dried blood on the left side.) I tried to explain to the ACTUAL MANAGER( Regina isn't the owner nor manager like some people assume) that the relaxer wasn't washed out properly, with an attitude he told me rudely " She's shampooing your hair" what? Even a teenager knows that you have to wash out the relaxer properly before shampooing ( Are these people even professionals). That's when the other stylist Marissa proceeded to rudely and loudly talk bad about me in Spanish to the manager instead, of explaining to Regina that I said the relaxer wasn't washed out properly ( since Regina hardly understands English). My mom got her hair done by Marrisa who was also VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My mom sat down in her chair, she looked at the back of her hair, and with an attitude told her that, her hair was breaking then, started speaking loudly to Regina in Spanish( these unprofessionals love to speak bad about their clients in Spanish), My mom understood everything that Marissa said about her. After a very terrible and exhausting experience from this NIGHTMARE, when I went home my mom told me that the manager said " to tell me not to comeback to the salon, the stylist told him "that everytime I come there it's always a problem" REALLY how unprofessional, they consider me problematic because I told her that she didn't wash out the relaxer properly out of my hair( these unprofessionals don't like to be told anything in regards of hair care , you should allow them to potentially damage your hair and be ok with that) unbelievable. I've been going to Maria International for 15 years and that's how they treat their customers like we're disposable. Also they are very discriminatory towards long, coarse textured hair, Regina was very rough with my hair and even sighed a few times ( mind you her own hair is of course texture plus badly damaged). CAUTION LADIES, this salon isn't for healthy, thick, long, 4 textured hair( these unprofessionals rather blowout hair to heat damaged.Regina doesn't know how to properly use heat protectant when she's blowing out or flat ironing her clients hair). If you want an unfriendly, rude and, unprofessional experience Maria International is your salon."
"I wasn’t greeted! I asked for a wash and set and was told my hair is to natural for that , I should do a wash and blow! Umm I permed my hair last month! I end up getting the wash and set! The lady who washed my hair did ya great job and the lady who did my hair did a great job!"
"Hair came out just the way I wanted it to be, however Maria The one who did my hair has a very nasty attitude. The one reason I would not return again."
