"I've been going to Emely's for 10 years now. I love their stylists & their services! They are so helpful in caring for my hair, and I always leave feeling like a brand-new-person."
"THEY ARE HORRIBLE NOW!!!! I used to go here all of the time when I was younger but stopped going when I moved to Queens. I went back for the first time in years since I work in Brooklyn now and had my 5 year old daughter with me. They never said anything to me about her being with me. She was on her best behavior she wasn’t getting into anything or acting up. Fast forward two weeks later I come back to get my hair washed and was told they wouldn’t do my hair because my daughter was with me!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! If it was really that much of a big deal why wasn’t I told this the first time I came and had her with me. Unfortunately everyone is not privileged to coparent with their child’s other parent I’m a single parent and the only time I can get my hair done is after work before heading home. I wouldn’t recommend this place AT ALL especially if you have kids."
"I don't like the fact that it's says wear masks and most of them don't and they're always talking...one of them wanted to rince my hair and when I politely asked was she gonna put a mask on she cussed me out in Spanish. I said I will wait for my hairdresser because she always has a mask on."
"They are definitely not trained on African American hair. I have very thick hair, shoulder length. After a week later on getting it done, I just washed my hair and everything started falling out. My hair literally looks straight and brittle Plus it smells like perm. I’ve never in my life used perm in my hair So I don’t know why my hair smells like it has chemical in it. I literally feel like crying. This is my first and last time going to this place."
