"I reached out to the business directly but given no one replied, I’ll leave my experience here instead in hopes they see it. A month ago I scheduled an appointment for 10:00am on Friday, November 24th at the downtown location which was then moved to a new time and location two days before (11:15am at the uptown location which is inconvient for me as I live on 1st street and it was my wedding weekend). Unfortunately, upon my arrival at the new time (I arrived to the uptown location at 11:10am), I discovered that the store was actually closed (!!!!!!!!) so I called the downtown location twice for them to tell me my hair dresser was going to be 20 minutes late. Total panic. This was unexpected and not only inconvenienced me but also resulted in me being late for my wedding venue rehearsal. When I made the apppintment I noted it was for my wedding rehearsal and when it was rescheduled, I reminded the time of my timeline too. At this point, I didn’t even have time to go home and do my hair myself. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but such a significant disruption like that left me feeling quite frustrated and stressed, especially considering the importance of the occasion. And no one seemed to care at all!!! It’s odd to me that I was charged full price for the service that was rescheduled and then started extremely late. I will never return or recommend this place to others ever again."

"Being a curly haired girly was tough. I felt no one could cut my hair without chopping off major length or understood how to style my hair. I felt like I was always hopping around from stylist to stylist—constantly on the hunt to desperately find someone I could trust to cut my hair. Being a curly haired girly now is no longer tough because I finally found Katey. She’s the stylist I have been searching for. The one I trust to master my curls. She’s meticulous, passionate, and meets you where you are at in your curly hair journey. Every appointment is like catching up with that best friend you haven’t seen in years, but it feels like no time has past. I wish I found Katey sooner, but I’m happy to have her now. My curls have been the best they have ever been since working with her. "My regular stylist is now booked a month in advance so that's a bummer for last minute done ups. It was my first time at Up & Out on a recommendation of a friend who happened to watch one of the employees work (the blow out bar is across the way from a cafe) It was a wonderful process beginning to end. Getting the appointment was prompt and I asked for Chris (on that tip.) Everyone is friendly and you can tell by the way employees interact that the staff gets along well with each other. My blowout was fab and fast but not rushed."
