"The first few times I went here, they did a great job, but the last two times have been awful. The time before this visit, I got box braids which were too tight and causing tension bumps. I asked about fixing them, and Missy, who did my hair, tells me to fix it in the shop would be an extra fee. So I just let it go. I ended up taking them out and going to another place in Harlem that took care of my hair. This time, I wanted passion twists on my now short hair. I was debating even making the appointment, but I have a work trip and figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Nope. The woman does crochet twists, cause she says passion twists will fall out - that sounds logical. An hour later, she says maybe I need to buy one more pack of hair and I say okay, but then she says maybe she can move some hair around. When she finishes, she only shows me the front and I still have work to do, so I say thanks, pay and tip, and leave. When I do get in front of a mirror, all the cornrows in the middle of my hair are showing. There is like a bald spot in the back. To be fair: the hair was very full, and this was my first time doing crochet hair, so maybe I picked hair that wasn’t practical. But the style clearly wasn’t finished and she sent me out like that. It was embarrassing. I bought hair and filled in the missing sections myself. If you need box braids, I guess come here, but I have a really hard time recommending this place to anyone."

"I want to say everytime I go get my hair braided I never leave unhappy. I’m from Brooklyn so finding the right stylist out here was important. No only does my hair grow ; they actually care about your hair. They wouldn’t do your hair if they feel it will break it or cause further damage. So that goes to show it’s not about the money. I greatly appreciate the energy and time management. Fire a** braids in a timely manner. On top of good energy throughout the salon. Love it !"

"I'll start off by saying my hair turned out great and I'm pleased with the result. I got medium sized box braids. The price was reasonable, you can always call ahead and book an appointment or ask for prices. Now on to my experience. I called and scheduled an appointment for 10 but didn't start until after 11 which was fine because she was pretty quick. I would recommend washing and stretching your hair if necessary. I did not have my hair stretched (or blown out) but they did that for me thankfully. For reference, I'm not tender headed and when I was getting my hair braided it didn't hurt in my opinion. I thought she was very gentle and if you are tender headed she could adjust to that as well. Overall I would recommend!"
