Reviews of Eckerd Connects | Boys Residential Academy at Candor
"I see All the campers and myself I was a camper in the great state of Vermont, let me tell you a huddle up when it's 14 below zero wasn't something I would wish on my worst enemy. Yet as kid we would have to sit there and talk about it... until someone solved their problems. The Green mountains turned many young boys into men in a few years. Jack Ekard, I don't know if he was a genius or a sociopath..."
"I don’t know what this place is now but legit gives me war flashbacks. I’m up right now at 4am from another e ku summe nightmare 17 years later in my life. Im definitely successful now (above average in fact) but the camp didn’t do that for me. Just taught me how to fight and do drugs by being exposed to others that did those things. Got frost bite so bad I almost had to get my foot amputated. Will say it turned me into a man. Like marines without the honor /respect / purpose. I just think about some of the stuff they got away with back then. The Chiefs were as criminal as the kids sometimes. I give it 2 not 1 because the “moms” were some of the best cooks I’ve ever come across in my life to date."
"I went to thus camp 2003 and was a waxsaw. Lol this place is amazing now that I look back and think about.. didnt like it then but I'm having troubles with my daughter and think she needs this place like I did. So glad to see it is still open."
"I was old school at E Ku Sumee! I was there from June of 88 til Sept of 89. I runaway from home cause of my Step-dad and the courts had no where else to send me. It was a pretty cool place I entered a Sequoia and Graduated Mahetues! Learned alot of good life lessons! Just don't start anything and you won't get thrown into a huddle."
