"I am an African American woman with natural hair. I have never had a perm or a relaxer in my life. I went in to the Melina hair salon for a wash and set. And they put relaxer my hair. All my hair fell out. It’s unfortunate that it is so difficult to trust a person Who is supposed to be a professional to do the right thing. Part of hair styling is hair care. Customers trust a hair stylist to care for their hair, we trust them to consult us, to be honest with us about what they are going to do to our hair and what the expected outcome will be. Not to do what ever is convenient for them. If they can’t do a simple wash and set on natural hair, they should just say that. Moral of the story, Don’t trust your hair to these people at this salon. Especially if your hair is natural. They will sneak relaxer in your hair and cause it to be terribly damaged to the point that it will fall out."
