Reviews of Perez Peter C DDS
"I've never done a Google review before but I find this necessary! I had my first visit at the office today and it was the BEST dental experience I have had by far. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, the hygienist was so gentle and excellent chairside manner, loved her from the start! I saw Dr. Perez right after to fix my chipped tooth and he was just as great. Never even felt the shot. I highly highly recommend this place!"
"The worst office I have ever experienced! I had multiple appointments and for each appointment I waited over an hour To get into the chair. At one appointment after I was put into the chair and given novacane I was forgotten about for almost 40 mins. The dentist is rough and not informative at all about what he's doing. I went in to get what I thought was a regular filling, After leaving his Office I had sensitivity and pain for almost seven months. I finally went to a different dentist. The xray showed that Dr. Perez had drilled my tooth so deep that it killed the nerves in my tooth and I was given the 2 options to get it removed or a root canal. Absolutely terrible place! No matter how desperate you are don't go here."
"Showed up for the first appointment at 1015 appointment at 1030 never seen anyone not even to be checked in till 1100 then waited and waited got the cleaning but never seen the dentist left at 100 with a new appointment!!! This place is HORRIBLE"
"This doctor was great!!! We fought for months trying to get my son into his other dental place for a painful tooth (always had doctors leaving). This dentist was recommended by my church leader. He definitely didn't disappoint at all... They got us in the next morning, normally, they don't do the type of extraction he needed, but because of what we had been going through just to have him seen, his pain, and the fact most dental surgeons are way backed up... "we're going to pray this will come out smoothly, because i cant justify leaving someone in pain for that long" was the response we got... smooth extraction is what we got. This place is easy to get to. And very welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. Highly recommend if you're looking for a dentist who loves what he does and hasn't lost the caring and compassion that most doctors lack."
"I called to make an appointment. Was told my insurance wouldn't cover an exam because I had received an exam from a previous dentist within the past 6 months and, because of that, I would have to pay out of pocket. I contacted my insurance, found out they would in fact cover it, and contacted the receptionist again with this information. The receptionist requested, and I gave her, a reference number that I was given by the insurance company, and a number to contact. The agent she spoke with at the insurance company gave her incorrect information when she contacted them. The agent contacted me during this, but told me that my insurance would in fact cover the exam. I was very clear with my words when I asked the insurance company's agent whether or not they would cover the exam. I specifically said to the agent, "So when I call the dentist back, they're not going to tell me I have to pay out of pocket." She indicated that was correct. I called Perez's office again and spoke with the same receptionist. She told me that the insurance company had told her something different. When I explained to her that the insurance company told me in no uncertain terms that they would, in fact, cover the exam, the receptionist said, "No they didn't." I again contacted the insurance company, this time making absolutely certain I was getting correct information. I had the insurance company bring the receptionist on the line with myself and the insurance company present, and explain to the receptionist that my insurance would actually cover it. The insurance company's agent directed the receptionist to their office reference manual this time to make sure it was clear what would be covered and how it is supposed to be coded. I can understand someone being mistaken or having incorrect information. It happens. Insurance companies are difficult to work with and their jargon isn't the easiest thing in the world to understand. I know. The reason I'm leaving a poor review is because of the receptionist's tone and attitude throughout my communications with her. Whether intentional or not, her tone and attitude came across very abrasive. Multiple times she gave the impression she thought I was being less than honest with her, going as far as telling me that the insurance company had not actually told me what they had, in fact, told me. I find this unacceptable, especially considering that, in the end, it turned out I was correct. Because of the tone and general attitude, a simple misunderstanding turned the entire experience sour. I had originally contacted Dr. Perez's office because of multiple recommendations from friends. But instead, because of this experience, I'm no longer comfortable going to Dr. Perez's office and will be going to a different dentist."
