"Terrible customer service. These guys will not care about you or your money! I was in an accident and the police officer called the mtm company to come tow my car. When the driver finally pulled up I asked him to get my car towed to my collision shop but he said he couldn't do that for some reason... How do you call a tow truck company to tow your car to place you want but they gonna say no they cant unless its their own shop. After my car got towed which was a Monday, I called my insurance and asked them to get my car tow out of their shop because I didn't know these guy and from the reviews i did not want them to work on my car. It has been 8 days!!!!!!! 8DAYS OF ME&MY INSURANCE TRYING TO REACH THEM TO LEASE MY CAR. Unbelievable!! Since they get paid for each day my car stays on their lot!! SUCH A SCAM!!! The insurance company is about to reach out the police at this point."
"Very unprofessional and unreliable. Took my car in for a coolant leak and to get my brakes changed. They had my car for over a week and still didn’t fix the coolant leak. And they lied and said my heat was blowing hot. It’s room temp at best. It was blowing hotter before I took it in. Avoid these guys at all costs."
"Under-promised, over-delivered! I had a great experience with MTM. My brand new bike decided to die unexpectedly on my way to work. My insurance hooked me up with them. They called me right away. They initially told me it would take them over an hour to get to me but they showed up pretty quickly. The best was because of the specialty of the tow (a large bike) they came with 2 people and plenty of straps to make sure they would be able to secure the bike properly on the flat bed. They were very careful and courteous. Well done guys!"
"Needed a tow. Was given an hour estimate, but to their credit, they showed up within 15 minutes. However, the driver stayed in his truck for another 15. I didn’t know what was going on, but waited long enough to have another MTM tow truck show up. They had to tow the first truck back to the shop. Additionally, the first driver threw an empty fast food cup into the nearby ravine. When he came to my car to tell me he’d be back, I asked him if he just threw his trash off the side of the road. He said, “yeah, I’m going to go pick it up,” didn’t pick it up, got into the new tow truck, and left. I called roadside assistance to ask them to send a new company. If anyone from MTM is reading this, your trashy driver is the one in the blue hoodie. *edit* After I wrote the review (from the side of the road), the driver did return. I told him another company was coming and didn't need them. Even still, he did climb into the ravine and pick up his litter. Who knows what he does when he doesn't have an adult to watch over him. *edit 10/19/2018* I have free roadside assistance through one of my credit cards. Unfortunately, I had a dead battery, and guess who got called to the rescue? Yup, just my luck, got the text confirmation that I'd be seeing MTM again. Guy shows up in a flatbed, pops my hood, and can't figure out how to hook it up to the battery terminals. To be fair, they're not traditional, but I'd still expect a tow truck driver to know how to connect to external posts. Another n00b mistake was thinking that he could use a battery pack to jump a turbodiesel. He hooks it up and immediately asks me to try starting it. I chuckle and entertain him. Of course it doesn't work, so I step aside. He keeps waiting 15-20 seconds and trying it again, depleting what little amount of charge he put into the battery. He tries this maybe 5 times before I tell him it's a diesel and it's never going to work. Based on his response, I don't think he understands. However, he does hook up to his truck's battery terminals and enables high idle. Good, now we're where we should have started! Unfortunately he's already lost his patience. He fails in cranking it again, and gets in his truck and waits 2 minutes for a charge to build up. Tries again, and tells me it's not going to work. Sure, of course it's not if you do it this way! He doesn't want to wait any longer and argues that something is wrong with the vehicle, and that it's not the battery, so I told him to get lost. Of course, I replaced the battery and everything works fine. Idiot. Sorry for the long explanation. It's a bit long for anyone looking to hire MTM for anything, but hopefully management will recognize they're hiring morons and start doing more than checking for a pulse. I should also note that as this is happening, he's charging his booster battery using the truck's 2nd battery. Not once did he attempt to boost the charge by using both batteries in parallel. That's the only way it would have worked, but of course, too dumb to know what that is."
"MTM was contracted by Toyota to tow my Prius that had electrical issues. They arrived after 3 1/2 hours, 2 calls from me and 1 from Toyota. The driver then asked me to sign a photocopied waiver saying that MTM is not responsible for any damage to my car. When I refused to sign the waiver, he got into his truck and drove off, leaving me stranded. I will never do business with them again."
