"I attended the trunk or treat tonight. I’m sure you know who is writing this since your whole congregation was blatantly rude to my family and I. I have never felt so uncomfortable and not welcomed in my life. We were stared at, nasty looks were given, pointing and whispering about us, and nobody wanted to give my daughter candy. I am gay with a wife and kids so it being a Baptist church I completely understand if you don’t agree with who I chose to love. Cool I get it, not the first time. But this was a community event and I should feel as welcomed as everyone else. Regardless of how I look or who I love should not matter because at the end of the day I am a human being. I don’t know what God y’all worship to on Sunday’s but my God at The Summit Church loves me just the way He made me. My outside appearance should not matter because God is in my heart. So, next time you want to be a judgemental hypocrite when you see someone who doesn’t look like you….. take a minute and ask yourself what would Jesus do?? I will be praying for you all. God bless you and See you in heaven!!!!"
"Our twin children are currently enrolled in the fifth grade at TBCA. They have been attending this school since kindergarten and have been thriving under the guidance of the excellent teaching and administrative staff. The school has been a true blessing to our family. We love the smaller teacher to student ratios and feel it makes a tremendous difference to both kids. Our ten-year-old son was diagnosed with PANDAS at the end of fourth grade, which made it challenging for him to attend school and actively participate. However, we were fortunate enough to have an incredibly supportive school administration and teachers who went above and beyond our expectations to help him finish fourth grade. We are now in fifth grade, and our son is still working through PANDAS, which is not a simple cure. Nevertheless, the school has been very accommodating, and my wife and I trade off working from the school daily to ensure we are present should there be any episodes. The teachers have been absolutely fantastic and supportive in assisting our son as needed throughout the day. Needless to say, we would be in a terrible position without TBCA and all of the incredible people on staff who have supported our situation. I always go out of my way to let other parents know about TBCA. It is truly one of the best-kept secrets in K-12 education. My wife and I have been so impressed by TBCA that we both decided to volunteer to lead after-school art and STEM clubs to give back some of what has already been given to our family. We are grateful for their support! A very special thank you to Dr. Soloman Patrick, Audra Locklear, Terresi Welch, Michelle Jones, Emily Griffith, and Camille Bagent!"
"This is about their trunk or treat. I understand the whole fall family festival but when we were told we had to register and get wrist bands and than watch a magic show, and the worst part of that you would than be released by color of that wrist band to trunk or treat. Parents with young kids like myself can't sit thru something like that. It was very disappointing because my kids were excited and we left without doing the trunk or treat. If this is about trying to recruit to your church or school hold a different kind of festival. Halloween is not the time to do that."
"I am so excited about the growth of both our church and academy. The new Admin Team at TBCA is top notch! Looking forward to great new opportunities to share the love of Christ in the upcoming years!"
"Our five year old looked forward to his kindergarten everyday. If we wanted a behavior change in him we could threaten to keep him home. That to him, was a terrible punishment. He loved his teachers and classmates. We are so excited to hear and see him read at his age. He will be going into first grade reading. And his math skills surprise me. We are glad we enrolled him. We highly recommend TBCA"
