"I have been working with PruittHealth Elkin and collaborating on patients with them for 3 years. The staff is amazing. The administrator Is amazing and fills in wherever needed. The patients there are treated like family and not “just a patient”. Staff knows their “family” thoroughly and will advocate for them until they get what they need. When you walk into the building you are walking into a place filled with compassion and love for every patient with the best care in the community."

"I have been here for about 10 years. There are many career opportunities if interested in moving up the ladder. Just like any heath care facility it needs a little TLC as Covid complicated things."

"I just want everyone to know this place will let your loved ones DIE. My mom Donna Spicer was sent there and went septic because they would not listen to me when I told them for 3 days that something was wrong with my mom. This place doesn’t deserve any stars and if I could give negative stars I would. I’m doing this because I know there are patients there that doesn’t have family to stand up for them and I ABSOLUTELY don’t want to see anyone else go through what my mother went through. Chatham nursing Center is where she went after being in the hospital being treated for sepsis and I want to give my true thanks to Hugh Chatham Hospital and to Chatham Nursing for getting my mom home Please don’t let someone In your family go here. It’ll be a mistake!!"

"I know it’s been said over and over but this place doesn’t even deserve one star. I am speaking from experience. My own experience. I am sitting here getting ready to start a new year thinking about all that has happened to me over the past 5 weeks. It all started on November 21,2023. I fell and fractured 5 or 6 places in my pelvis. I went to Baptist hospital in Winston and I was there for a week and then they wanted me to go to rehab. The only place I could get close to home was Pruitt Health Elkin, NC. I didn’t have any other choice so I went. My daughter told them for 2 or 3 days that something was wrong with me and it wasn’t the pain medication. Dr. Tamas Soos told her it was coming from the pain medication. They would not listen to her. So the next day my daughter had to call the ambulance herself to get me out of that place. They were not happy about my daughter calling them to come get me because they had let me lay there and I had sepsis. I almost died. I thought I was going to die several times. I don’t remember what happened for about 3 or 4 days because they said I was out of my head. After getting to the hospital they figured out what was going on and started giving me antibiotics. I started getting better but it took me awhile to get there. If I had been left at Pruitt Health one more day I feel like I would have died. I can’t believe that they wanted to just put the blame on pain medication. You know everybody that takes pain medicine is not an addict and they really need it. My daughter knew that wasn’t it because she knows me but they wouldn’t listen to her. So I had to go through all that craziness and put my family through all that just because they didn’t want to test me to see what was really wrong with me. All I can say and this is from my experience only because it happened to me that I honestly believe Pruitt Health in Elkin would have let me died before they moved me. Thank God for my family that knew something else was going on. I want to thank everybody and Hugh Chatham Hospital that took care of me because from what I understand I was a crazy mess. Thank you also to Chatham Nursing and Rehab for being so good with me and helping me to recover. Now as for Pruitt Health I would never recommend any body go there and it is just because of MY experience because I experienced it first hand. I am not sure it will be something I can ever really get over. I can still remember the way I felt when I thought I was dying. It is a horrible feeling just to have to go back and remember. I try not to but sometimes it just comes without warning. Thank you for listening to my rant I am very upset with the whole process that happened to me at Pruitt Health. I hope nobody ever has to go through what I went through. Just know that this is MY opinion and MINE only. I just felt like it needed to be put out there so people would know the experience that I had with Pruitt Health. I want to Thank God for letting me live through this trauma so I could tell people about it. I am home now after spending some time at Chatham Nursing and Rehab. Elkin NC. They were wonderful to me. They helped me to get ready to come back home. A great big thanks to them."
