"Ms. Gwen Kea previously assisted me and my family with our taxes years ago with no issue. However, the past year has left me extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with her services. On August 5th, 2022 - I reached out and requested her services to help me with filing taxes for my disabled grandmother - to which she responded and agreed to help me promptly. I got the paperwork to her on August 16th, 2022. On August 27th, 2022 she told me she would begin working on it. September passed, no update. October passed, I reached out for an update - she did not respond. November passed, no updates. December passed, no update. I reached out multiple times, she would say that she was going to do it and then she did not deliver. I asked her for an invoice so I could pay her, she did not respond. In December, I requested that we just come pick up the paperwork from her if she did not want to or could not file the taxes. No response. January 2023, I reached out again, no response. Today, August 29, 2023 one year and some change later - she still has not provided proof or any response that she got the job done. I have actually begged her to let me please come get the paperwork as she was not forced to do it if she did not want to. She didn’t even respond to those requests. I called her, my grandmother called her. We sent texts, left voicemails. Overall, I’m very confused how she’s doing everyone else’s taxes but wouldn’t do ours without providing any reason as to why not. She has every right to refuse service for whatever reason she wishes, but she does not have the right to hold my grandmothers tax documents for over one year now with no intent to file them. My grandmother will have to go to every source for her paperwork to request copies of these documents so she can get them filed properly elsewhere. This is highly disappointing and disrespectful on Ms. Kea’s part. Use Ms. Kea’s services at your own risk. I did not want to leave this review because I wanted to give her time to rectify the issues, but as it has been more than one year; I feel my review is now justified. Update: On the date I posted this review, Ms. Gwen reached out to attempt to rectify the situation. She said the very next day we would hear from her. We did not. We still have no resolve and today is Sunday, September 9th. 2nd Update: Today is Sunday, September 17, 2023 and still no update."
