Reviews of Wonderdog Pet Grooming
"I was a walk in with a very nervous & scared chihuahua/Jack Russell. He fought me when I tried to clip him. The groomers there are wonderful professionals. They had his nails done in 8 minutes or less. I will be taking him there from now on, so will my son with his lab. I would recommend Wondetdog Pet Grooming to anyone."
"I have been taking my two dogs there for grooming and usually their grooming/ haircuts are decent or they are able to fix it once I point something out while picking them up. Recently I had horrible experience there and left me wondering about their service and attitude. One of my dogs who is 14 yr old was left with cuts and bleeding. When I dropped him, I asked to trim his face face but leave the whiskers alone ( something all other groomers have done all his life without any issues) When I went to pick him up I realize his entire face was not trimmed at all. I asked the front desk lady again if they could trim hair on his face but leave the whiskers. She took my dog to the groomer’s station where the groomer lady was already in middle of grooming another dog. 1. The groomer asked the front desk girl (who btw was very sweet) to hold my dog still so she can groom him. Please note that the other dog standing on the grooming station was already nervous and shaking. Now there is my dog who is confuse, anxious and very uncomfortable and hanging in the air while she brings scissors and trimmer near his eyes. I realize that both dogs are uncomfortable and asked her to put my dog on an empty grooming stand and then trim his face, I offered that I can help hold my dog at the station (please note that my dog is very well behaved and obedient but at this point I could see he is uncomfortable and wondering what’s going on). The groomer lady who had lot of attitude, said she can’t leave the other dog alone. Are you serious??? How about you ask the front desk lady who is holding my dog in air to watch the other dog and put my dog on a proper grooming station and I had already offer to hold him twice by now if she needs help. May be was just being lazy and didn’t want to move or take extra step to be safe and cautious or just some attitude. 2. Then starts the grooming nightmare. She said it’s a “big ask” to leave whiskers and trim rest of his face (apparently it’s a rocket science). I told her I am not asking her to go in-between whiskers or anything, just leave the whiskers and do rest of the face, eyes, cheeks, jaw and forehead etc. She started doing his face in great hurry not being cautious or careful at all ( again my dog’s face is t’s being trimmed while he is being held in the air). She started with left side of his face is completely trimmed it including whiskers, everything all gone. I am stranding there in shock at her speed and carelessness. She repeated again see I told you it’s a “hard ask” She asked me while rushing what I want to do with the other side. I am standing there in shock and I said “well I think we have to trim the other side a little short but not too much so it’s not as ……………. Before I even finish my sentence she rushed and completely trimmed all his whiskers on the other side as well. Just seeing how fast, careless she was with scissors and trimmer while my dog is hanging uncomfortable in the air. I just said it’s all good, took my dog and left. Also there is another anxious and uncomfortable dog on the station we standing at.I just wanted to put both dogs out of misery. I realize she wasn’t listening anyways and it’s not gonna get any better. 3. I called them when I sat 2-3 times to make sure they put it in my chart not to have this groomer work on my dog again. No one answered. I left voice message but no response. When I reached home as I am taking my dog out of the car, his face is bleeding. I cleaned his face and saw two deep cuts where he is bleeding from. This made me and my husband very upset seeing our poor 14 yrs old extremely good boy bleeding like that. Next day my husband noticed another cut on his belly. Someone called us ONE time ( after our numerous unanswered calls). I missed that call but have called them numerous time and left voicemails as since then. They never care to respond."
"My sister's pecapoo was monthes overdue for grooming with long knots. When we picked her up, she was a beautifully restored girl. She was very calm as well, not shaking as grooming elsewhere. Everyone was pleasant, knowledgeable, and gentle."
"Amazing... my husky was in less than ideal shape with her under coat from lack of regular grooming. Not to mention, that she is a very sassy girl that hates to be brushed...the team at Wonderdog won both of us over and we'll be back every 6 weeks... she left happy and prancing around showing off her new fluff.. great job preserving her double coat and fountain tail.... her paws are trimmed up, free tufts between her toes , and nails nicely cut without being too short and into the quick.."
"We adopted a long haired Great Pyrenees/ collie mix and he needed some real grooming “Work”. We are so happy Wonderdog and their staff were nearby! The place is very clean and organized! They are efficient with my time and text and/or call every step of the way. Our dog is always so beautifully groomed.. he actually smiles!! His heavy hind haunches were groomed so nice and light ...to our dogs delight he ran and ran at full speed with joy the next day! I highly recommend this place. You can be sure they will take good care of your “fur child” with lots of TLC"
