"Rick is hands down the best therapist I have ever had....and that is saying a lot, being that I have had at least a dozen over the past 30 years. But Rick is not just a therapist, he has a Ph.D. in Psychology along with more than 40 years working with people. He understands the mind and people like no one I have ever met. Sometimes he can just read your mind somehow. It is uncanny. In any case, his education and experience allow him to accurately assess your issues and to know how to help you improve your life. In my case Rick helped me to get an accurate diagnosis I should have had many years ago. This has enabled me to get the treatment I needed which included medication and therapy. In therapy he teaches me a variety of skills to help me navigate life. He is very patient and understands that change is hard and can take time. In addition to his clinical skills and vast knowledge, though, I think what makes Rick so effective, is that he truly cares and empathizes with what you are going through. He is committed to helping (even when you are resistant or annoying). He is patient and kind. He understands that issues and crises don't just come up during the weekly therapy session and he is always there to help. If I had met Rick when younger, I would no doubt have had far less struggles. Since I began working with him, he has helped me through an extraordinarily difficult time after the sudden death of my husband, has helped me be a better mother and a better person. He has helped me through many crises and goes above and beyond to ensure I don't jeopardize the things that are important to me. I am very grateful to have Rick in my life and for his continued assistance."
"I started therapy with Rick because I was severely depressed. I grew up with alcoholic parents and had trauma issues. With time, I grew to trust Rick, face my issues, and became a whole person. I highly recommend Rick as a psychologist. He uses a variety of therapeutic techniques and is very skilled. To this day, I remember things Rick taught me. I will always be grateful to Rick for all of his help. Cindy M"
