"NorthStar has been one of the most authentic life experiences that I have had. It’s so much more than a Recovery program. The therapists are mentors and friends, and have the perfect combination of being compassionate, but give tough love when you need it. I look forward to going and many times jokingly ask if I can stay there overnight and on the weekends :-). It’s such a safe haven and also a place of learning. It’s like you get mini psychology classes every single session. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be at NorthStar and encourage all who are struggling to give them a call or email. It’s my job to get and remain sober, but the support, education and accountability that I’ve gotten through them has helped more than anything that I have tried in the past. I can confidently say that Northstar has saved my life…..in every sense of the word."
