"Michael McGowan was my accountant for a number of years and although I did not use his services last year, I had planned to use him again in the future.....until today. My issue is not with Michael, but with his receptionist, who is absolutely the rudest woman I've ever spoken with and should be fired. I called today to ask a simple question requiring a 'yes or no' response for a conversation that would have taken less than 1 minute. She said to me in a curt, nasty tone "I don't know who you are but hold on" and put me on hold before I could tell her my name. She returned seconds later and informed me still using that very nasty tone, "All of our CPA's are busy working on 2016 returns for our clients and don't answer questions from anyone whose return we aren't doing. Good luck getting your question answered" and hung up on me. This is not the first time this has happened with this woman. It looks like I will be looking for a new accountant to prepare my taxes in the future and provide financial advice. Again, the problem isn't with Michael himself, but the unprofessional, rude woman that answers the phone. I refuse to be treated in such a disrespectfull manner. Regardless of how delightful and professional Michael has been over the years, that does not excuse mistreating former clients that want to continue using you in the future. Incidentally, H&R Block answered my question in less than 30 seconds. Take your business elsewhere!"
