"Dr. Maya Ramos-Allen , Dr. Brandon Whittington and all therapist/staff at Level UP Physical Therapy are excellent at what they do. They work one on one with their patients and treat you like family. When my wife returned home after being in Grand Strand hospital for 3 months related to a bad hemorrhagic stroke no local Physical Therapy facilities around Ocean Isle seemed to work with acute stroke patients but a home health care therapist recommended Level Up Physical Therapy in Calabash. When I called Level Up Brandon got on the phone with me to discuss my wife's condition and even though he was booked with patients he recommended that his wife Maya could handle my wife's PT. When we started my wife's therapy she was having to use a wheelchair to get around Maya started working with her 3 times a week and with my wife's strong will she was able to transfer to using a walker and cane with my assistance. Maya has even had her walking some unassisted recently in therapy. Her recovery from the major stroke has been positive she had spine issues before the hemorrhagic and we are working with a doctor who thinks he can help by detethering her spinal cord. She had 7 pervious surgeries related to a Giant Cell thoracic spine tumor when she was young. Hopefully with continued physical therapy with Maya and the right medical treatment she will be able to walk again unassisted. It's a marathon, not a sprint."
