"Our experience with Flowers of Gatlinburg was not a positive one. My boyfriend booked a cabin in Gatlinburg and made separate arrangements with this company for them to provide a banner, roses, and chocolates to be delivered in preparation for our marriage proposal. Unbeknownst to me at the time they dropped the ball on communicating with him on the back end to inquire about the code in order to gain entry to the cabin. He had to call them to ask why we hadn’t received our delivery and the response from the gentleman on the phone was that “we didn’t have the code to get in” however no one called, emailed, or texted to coordinate this with my boyfriend. Needless to say after speaking to them they finally delivered our order and set everything up but the lack of urgency to ensure that the proposal went smoothly was disheartening. Shame on you all, please do better with communication to your customers!"
"It took me a month of email/phone tag to receive an invoice for my requested flower order. (Always promising they would get back to me in 1-2 days, but wouldn't respond for over a week at a time). Was pretty frustrating, but I was willing to deal with it if it meant I received beautiful flowers for my wedding! When I finally received my flowers on my wedding day, the first words out of my mouth were "oh my god, they are hideous". Which was, admittedly, a harsh reaction, but the bouquet looked absolutely *nothing* like the clean, polished reference photos I had sent them. The original bouquet would have been perfect for a boho/whimsical wedding, but that simply was not what I had asked for. ((I didn't manage to get a picture before my amazing MOH snatched the bouquet and started pulling out all the weird blue pokeberry things and dr. seuss-looking tendrils. If you look closely at the attached photo, you can see a few of the decapitated stems we had to leave in for structural integrity.)) I know Flowers of Gatlinburg can't guarantee flower colors/ types, but what they gave me was so *incredibly* far off from what we had discussed stylistically. It felt like they didn't listen to me at all. Very disappointing. I am so thankful my wedding party swooped in and fixed the bouquet for me. With their help, the flowers ended up passably beautiful! I just wish that Flowers of Gat hadn't wasted my time with consultations that didn’t seem to be referenced when assembling the final product."
"we had our elopement this saturday and planned it very last minute, i ordered a bouquet and boutonnière on tuesday and they even had them ready for me before my scheduled pickup time. the florist was so kind and the flowers were absolutely beautiful. it was a wonderful, stress-free experience and i would highly recommend them to anyone in the gatlinburg area needing floral arrangements!"
"I should have read the other reviews before making a decision to go with Flowers of Gatlinburg and see the writing in the wall. When I asked Trent for a receipt for my purchase he indicated that he would send it within the hour and if I didn’t receive it to give him a call back. Five (5) requests later, 3 email and 2 phone request, I still have not received it. The inactions by Flowers of Gatlinburg to provide a receipt made me suspect on their ability to deliver. Thus, read reviews and stay away from this place. There are better and more reliable florist in Gatlinburg. I have asked for a full refund. Update 10/23/22 I guess the fact that you sent all 5 of the receipts back to back and after I posted a review. I guess that allows you to claim you sent them. Sir, I am not certain how you are staying in business but looking at your reviews tell me you won’t be open much longer. The place I remember use to be good. Has the place changed owners to where the people such as you work there it’s gone downhill?? In my opinion, you are both patronizing and condescending not to mention one who lies and can’t take ownership that you made a mistake and can’t take responsibility for it. Yes, I want the best service for my bride and I, you sir, do not deserve my business and I will advise others to follow that advice. It wasn’t hard to find a replacement. Your request in your email to me, after sending the receipts, asking me to remove my review is denied. People need to know who they are dealing with in transactions that are of high importance but handled so bad."
"My wife and I were vacationing in Gatlinburg to celebrate our 20th anniversary. I called Flowers of Gatlinburg and ordered two dozen RED roses with 10 WHITE calla lilies. I asked for them to be delivered on Monday, ahead of our Wednesday anniversary, so I could surprise my wife and we could enjoy the flowers all week. I called twice actually with very specific requests for the arrangement. The gentleman on the phone said that the white calla lilies would be no problem getting since I was ordering in advance. He told me the cost would be $296, but they would be beautiful. On that Monday, the same guy I spoke to twice before called me to say they were there at the cabin with the flowers. He said nothing about there being any issue with what I ordered. When we arrived back at the cabin, I went in first to see an arrangement of smallish light purple roses, some with brown edges, and similarly colored light purple lilies. The color of the lilies almost indistinguishable from the roses. My wife does not like purple flowers very much and I was looking for the pop of the red roses against the white calla lilies. Some might have thought they looked pretty, but for me, they were a huge disappointment and not at ALL what I ordered. The next morning, I drove the arrangement to their store in town and met a lady there. When I told her that I ordered red roses with white calla lilies and that I had paid, according to my Amex card $312.77, not the $296 I was told, her jaw dropped. The exact words out of her mouth were, “There is nothing pretty about these flowers.” This is a florist saying that. She said the flowers did not come from that location but from another one. She called and told them that I was not happy and could they redeliver the right thing. I said no, I wanted a full refund. The moment was over and had turned into a bummer. I left the flowers there at the shop and they did provide a full refund, but I don’t know why they would think that this was in any way acceptable to send something completely different than I ordered. I paid a premium price and expected premium flowers, not purple roses I could get from the front of a grocery store for $10 a dozen. I was willing to pay the $296, or even the $312.77, but I wanted my wife to be wowed, and that is not what happened. Again, they did give me a refund, but there was no follow-up from the guy I spoke to three times or this alleged “other shop” as to why they ever thought providing this arrangement that was NOTHING like I ordered was in any way acceptable."
