"FAIR WARNING CONCERNING MARCI'S PET SITTING SERVICE WILLOW SPRINGS NC For those of you who were following and concerned about our Aussie Ruger..... We entrusted his care while we went away on a family outing to Marcie's Pet Sitting Service; these people are members at our church. These people present themselves as a responsible dog care service at their residence. We had never used them before and on arrival found that they DID NOT have a fenced back yard which was a concern and I EXPRESSLY told both the husband and wife that they MUST NOT TAKE RUGER OUT WITHOUT BEING ON LEASH! THERE WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING ON THIS POINT. Despite this within 2 hours Ruger went out without a leash ( they stated that before they could attach the leash that RUGER bolted out the door and ran off. ( question, why was the door opened before the leash was attached to the collar in the first place?). Subsequently, Ruger was struck and killed by a car not at all due to an accident BUT DUE TO THE COMPLETE AND UTTER STUPIDITY of two adults who put themselves out as responsible animal caretakers. There is no amount of "we're so sorry " that can in any way make up for our loss. THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS FOR COMPLETE AND UTTER STUPIDITY. Call it unchristian on my part; I don't care. My wife and I are overwhelmed with anger and grief. Anyone else considering entrusting an animal to the care of Marcie's Pet Sitting should THINK TWICE"
