"Preparer alerted me my return was rejected by the IRS due to a code indicating someone tried to file using my information. Shocked hearing this when I asked for more information the preparer acted as if it was not her problem and tried to hang up after literally 20 seconds on the phone with me. Now after paying 278$ one would think that an employee with true customer service skills would have at least dont a quick google search to find me the number to the IRS or at least used the word 'sorry' since you just paid us to find out someone may have stole your refund. The lack of concern after I made a payment in full is unethically astounding."

"They have three woman working there when you walk in you are immediate ask in a grumpy tone do you have an appointment. Then they charge you for deductions that are found like earned income and other deductions. I had ONE W2 and one child as a dependent. They charged me $424 for my 2020 tax return. When I asked why so much Nipa stated well we got you all the deductions that we could like earned income, child tax credit. So you benefiting off of what the government says I'm allowed to have. When I asked about $25 discount sent to my email from HR BLOCK I was told they couldn't accept it. When I asked if there was anything they could do to Lowe the price. After calling her supervisor she said NO all discounts have been discontinued. Again I'm a single parent and we're in a pandemic charging over $400 is heartless and highway robbery. If it wasn't so late in the tax season I wouldn't have filed with HR BLOCK. 400 earned. Returning customer and SO MUCH MORE lost. It's a wonder many HR BLOCK are closing and people are opting for TurboTax and the likes. Use HR BLOCK at your OWN RISK!!"
