"My mom has received great care from the staff. She has adjusted well to this chapter in her life, participated in activities and made new friends thanks to the family care atmosphere of Valley View Rehabilitation."
"As administrator of Valley View, I highly recommend our home to anyone needing a quality nursing/rehab center. We offer a home like environment filled with loving staff and a warm environment to flourish in...not to mention the best view of the Valley there is."
"During these days of the Covid pandemic we were fortunate that this place had room for our mother. She was transported from Atlanta Piedmont Hospital on January 5. From the time that she got there on Wednesday at 9 o’clock that evening until her demise on the following Tuesday morning they were nothing but caring, gentle, and sweet. First of all Anisha ( sorry spelled wrong) helped get her accepted in the first place which was a feat in itself with numerous phone calls not easy with the poor phone and Internet service which made everything difficult. All of them working so hard from the administration, Director of nursing, nurses, CNA’s, hospice workers, and the entire staff—some working 17 days in a row. They were always cheerful and treated our mom with dignity and respect. Our mom called them ‘her girls’ and told them she loved them they told her they loved her and treated her as if she were their own mother. They tried hard to find foods that she liked and could eat. They caressed her forehead, held her hands, and they even sang, ‘You are my Sunshine’ to her in the mornings. Their names are not mentioned here, for fear I would leave someone out. I only have good things to say about Valley View which was the closest place we could get our mothers home only a half mile away where she could see her beloved mountains through the window. It was a privilege to know them. Thank you. You are all angels beyond compare. ❤️ Love from Jacci Hanna, Sue Jordan and the rest of the family of Mary Anne Rightsell"
"If it was possible to give a place negative stars, this would be it. Valley View is the most unprofessional, non-patient centered care facility I’ve ever seen. After being there for a few weeks my grandfather aspirated under there care and they played it off as him having pneumonia. They had him on 3 different sedatives because they didn’t want to deal with him, and this was after we specifically told them not to give him any. They treated him with medicine for schizophrenia without it being confirmed by a psychologist. Once we realized he was mistreated and requested his records, it’s took them two weeks to get it approved by legal even though it was an emergency. They didn’t give us the records until we physically drove there from MI and argued with them. Mark, the poor excuse for an administrator of the facility, got verbally aggressive with me when I tried to request the records. He didn’t even know where their main headquarters were. Do NOT leave your loved ones at this facility. They do not listen to the families wishes and if they don’t want to take care of someone they just sedate them. My grandfather declined so much so because of the sedatives they had him on for no reason. When asked why he was on them, they had no response. All of the reviews posted on here are from people who work there, which is very unprofessional. Do not send your loved ones here. They do not have the best interest in mind for patients and all they care about it money. This is a for-profit insistitution."
"In July 2018, I began work at this facility as the Director of Social Services. I am impressed with the new leadership and the team spirit at Valley View. Everyone works hard in their departments and we support each other. In September 2018, we received a deficiency-free survey, a first for this facility. We are all proud to have been a part of such an honor. We continue to work on making the facility a five-star facility. With the ongoing progress, we will meet our goals. Our residents are happy and their needs are met in extraordinary ways by a staff that cares! Whether you work here or have a loved one residing here, communication is open and you can count on a great experience."
