"I missed a couple of appointments and called to let them know except once. I also told them that I was having trouble with my insurance and wanted to put my services on hold. I get a letter from them today saying I have to go to 3 group therapy sessions for coping skills before I can get individual therapy so I called them and sure enough, they won't see me until I do the 3 group sessions even though I've been in communication with them. Incompetent office staff to say the least. Would not recommend."
"I whole heartedly can give Watauga Behavior Health 5 stars, I would give them more if I could! I see Jimmy as my case manager and he is absolutely wonderful! Everyone here is so nice and caring."
"You guys have really dropped the ball on me as a patient so many times that it’s honestly ridiculous at this point. Mostly medication issues, my psychiatrist up and quit. Even though I had given her my updated phone number, she did not enter it into the system. So, when she quit, I was not notified or put on anyone else’s caseload, and when I ran out of medication and my pharmacy could not refill it, I contacted you guys only to find out that she had quit, and that there was nothing I could do but wait weeks for an in person appointment that I absolutely had to be in person for (previously, I’ve been having zoom appointments due to living an hour away). I have epilepsy so I need these medication’s to survive so my fiancé had to take off work to get me to this appointment because they demanded that it was in person. Only to get there and speak to someone over zoom on an iPad. And now I can’t get my medication’s because whoever was on the iPad did not do prior authorization. Ridiculous. Please do better. Your patients do not deserve this negligence."
"I am giving one star due to all of the issues we have had for adult and children services. Now if I was rating just my therapist it would be a five star I love being able to talk to her and I have never felt that before with any other therapist I actually love going to see her. When it comes to my child this is another thing. I would honestly rate 0. My child's therapist and caseanager are great although there is no improvement of my child at all with therapy. We can not find a good fit for a med Dr. We have gone through all of them and the last one we had Due Chapman was over the computer and she was actually trying to help her, sadly we had to lose her due to the office and they wanted to switch us to someone else. First they sent us to someone we already had that shouldn't be in practice at all and then they switched us to the highest up Med Dr for children and he was more concerned about being bald then about helping my child. Due to this we wouldn't recommend this place for children period..... We are looking into trying to find a new place to take our daughter because I don't tlevenbthink the so called doctors here could train a dog to sit....."
"I’ve been coming to Watauga since 2018 and they have absolutely saved (and changed!) my whole life. My therapist and psychiatrist are so thoughtful and always listen to me and care about me. I never feel judged or treated poorly. I was skeptical about the reviews when I first went in to see them but now I know how wrong they are (but everybody’s case is different!) It can be hard to get a last-minute appointment if you need a prescription change or something like that, but otherwise I’m happy coming here. The people on the phone who make the appointments are a little impersonal and I dread calling them but everybody I talk to in person is so gentle and thoughtful. I can’t imagine where I’d be without the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff who have guided me to a healthier mental place."
