"We dropped our tax documents off on March 11th and were told that we would receive a phone call from Beverly to go over details or questions. The woman that answered the phone said that she was overbooked, and that should have been our first red flag. Since dropping off our taxes, we have never once spoken to Beverly on the phone or received a confirmation email that she received our bank account information for direct deposit. We called once a week to try and get ahold of Beverly, and the woman at the front desk answered every time saying that Beverly was overbooked, our taxes were "the next on her desk", and she would call us that evening or the following morning with questions she had before filing. Radio silence until tax day, April 18th, where we called repeatedly (often getting a non-stop ring) to get someone to confirm whether our taxes were done or not. The assistant finally answered that yes, they had been completed and documents are in the mail. It's now three weeks later, and we've received nothing. When we checked with the IRS, there's no indication that our taxes were filed. Every call we've tried to place has gone to an unavailable number. We have serious concerns and are going to reach out to the IRS again about what's happened. This doesn't seem ethical for a supposedly reputable accountant."

"Went here for my 2020 tax returns and never got my refund. Been trying to figure out why and turns out they miss spelled the name of two my kids on the refund. Been trying to contact the IRS for a long time now trying to figure out how to resolve this issue. Today finally made some head way with an actually person at the IRS and they told me we had to have Monk's fix the spelling errors and submit it. Had my wife stop by while she was out and apparently the lady she spoke to says the IRS has to send something before they will go in and fix. The issue the IRS claims its not on file anywhere probable because the names a miss spelled so it never actually filed. The lady at monk's said there system didn't kick it back so it has been file. I'm now on hold with the IRS again to see what it is the lady was talking about. But as of right now this is a 1 star review as I have an issues that according to the IRS should of been an easy fix but someone apparently cant be bothered to do it. As another note the place I went to also tried to look up our 2020 taxes and also couldn't find them in any of the systems. And pretty much told us the same thing and to contact the IRS at a different number. PS: Every time I call this place it says the number is unable to connect. I know ya got Verizon and all but its 2022 please set up Voice Mail or get an answering machine."
