"Drove over an hour and made it in time for the appointment even after many obstacles and front desk denied the appointment even though we were 10 minutes early"
"Overall negative experience. We made an appointment with "Dr. Carl" and it was not revealed to us until the appointment started that "Dr. Carl" is a PA. I work in healthcare and have no problem seeing PAs and NPs, in fact I often prefer them, however it seemed both deceptive and bizarre that a clinic would misrepresent the clinician as "Dr." when he is apparently not a medical doctor. I wanted to look him up on the website to better understand his credentials, however he is not on the website. I could only find unrelated websites that list his NPI number and designation as a PA. Besides this, Carl did not come across as particularly engaged or understanding of the chief complaints. It felt like he wasn't really hearing what we were trying to say. It seemed like he had an idea in mind and ran with it, rather than listening to the information provided and making a nuanced clinical impression and treatment plan. It seemed like he was just clicking through a preloaded list of questions on his computer rather than trying to understand the patient. We left feeling like he just really didn't get an accurate read on the patient at all. When we brought up the chief complaints again at the end of the visit, he seemed somewhat annoyed and quickly wrapped up the visit saying that will be addressed at a later time. At $150 a session, it is not practical to keep coming back in hopes the main complaint will be addressed. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. We appreciated getting a follow up call the next day to ask about patient satisfaction; the caller was very sympathetic. Overall we were really let down by the service we were provided and are sad to have paid $150. I wish we could get a refund, especially given that we were directly misled as to the credentials of the provider, and that the provider did not provide any treatment options for the main complaint."
"DO NOT GO HERE, they have little to know regard to your mental health. You can be dropped at the drop of a hat and they don't care. They Will block you and not respond to any of your messages. And by law are supposed to provide you with your medical records which they have yet to do it's been over 2 months and will not respond to any voicemails or emails. Can also put you in the hospital from prescribing you the wrong medications and not correcting it. Surprised they're not under any kind of malpractice or lawsuits but I'm pretty sure one's HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE experience. Almost caused my 17yr old to have a suicidal episode. Put her in and out of the ER/hospital for over 2mnths trying to recover from what they did to her."
"You are just a number unfortunately and not an individual with mental health needs, at this facility. Stay clear of the nurse “Anita” and Dr. “Carl” Walter Credle. Not very helpful humans and will make your anxiety worse lol or bring other ailments you didn’t have prior. They will NOT communicate any important details with your medical needs or to your other providers. You feel like a robot instead of a human being… I would go ANYWHERE else to try to make progress on your journey. This place, instead will try to make the problem worse as opposed to finding a solution and will try to create new ones as well. So sad these individuals have licenses in the medical world. There are many other amazing providers that are available-I’m so blessed they were there when these people were not!!! I wish I read these reviews before I put my health in these evil peoples hands. Best wishes to those with mental health needs…you are amazing and not alone!"
"Hands down one of the worst experiences I have had in any health care setting. My daughter was scheduled for a new patient appt which we arrived at 146 for a 2:00 appt and I did all the forms online except the one she had to fill out about how she was feeling. When we arrived the receptionist went to the providers office and then came back and informed me that we could not be seen because we had to be 15 minutes early. She said over and over that was their policy and there was nothing they could do. The reason why you walk to the back is to ask the provider if they will see the patient. Dereck, we were 14 minutes before our appointment and I did all of the necessary paperwork. You could absolutely have seen my daughter and the fact that you didn’t… and the fact that it appears your door was open and you were talking to another employee makes me think you weren’t running behind with the previous patient either. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. I called later to voice my concerns regarding their policy and to make the office manager aware of what is going on. I was transferred back to the receptionist when I was told I was being sent to the office manager and then was told she would email “Wendy” and let her know. If you are wanting to receive mental health in Boone, don’t go here. Please… even if you have to drive off the mountain. It literally breaks my heart that there are people out there with suicidal ideation and true issues that are treated like this. It takes patients A LOT to get the courage to make their appointments and be seen… and then to show up to have a provider turn you away when you’re still 14 minutes early… my daughter will be okay but there are some people that wouldn’t have been. And by the way, I was only 14 minutes early because I’m also a provider and had a patient that showed up that wasn’t on my schedule before I left for the 30 minute drive one way to pick up my daughter from school… and I still seen them… because being in healthcare is a calling… and it’s a job to this place. Side note: The Mood Treatment Center is great… go see them. I will pay the out of network cost to be seen there."
