Reviews of K-9 Rehab
"Kathi is great and so good with dogs. Highly recommend!"
"If you are looking for a dog trainer Kathi is your best bet. Kathi is not only knowledgeable but she truly wants what is best for your dogs. When you and your puppy take a class with her you should be aware that you are going to be trained too. There were simple things I could change to help my dog behave better. Kathi has and still is teaching me ways to improve my relationship with my already loving fur baby. I’ve been seeing big improvements in my dog over time and I know that everything my dog is being taught is individualized to fit her behavior and our needs. She doesn’t use shock collars and she doesn’t use magic she just listens to what your family’s needs are. She then tunes in to what is needed for your dog. You’re getting so much for the small price she charges and you can tell that all she does is in the name of pure passion for her work. Stella is excelling and everyone is noticing how behaved she is! If you’ve been to a poorly put together group class or have paid thousands of dollars to no avail please do yourself a favor and give Kathi a call. Let her speak to you about your dog, I’m sure you’ll be impressed with all YOU and your dog can do by the end of one class. Can’t recommend her enough. Stella is now going on to become a service dog for me. I never in a million years thought I’d be able to afford this training and she has made it accessible for people who need it. My last thought of this review is if you’re considering putting down your dog because it’s aggressive or not listening please give Kathi a call. She normally knows the simple fix to turn your dog’s behavior around. :) I’d also like to address a recent review: Shiro is a recent dog added to Kathi’s (the trainer) dog family. He is deaf so Kathi has other ways of getting his attention. He can read lips and hand gestures but sometimes Kathi lightly taps him on the nose to get his attention. She is never mistreating her dogs because her dogs are her world. She uses pie pans as a training tactic to get a dog’s attention when it is doing something really bad. It is NEVER used when a dog is not preforming a trick that is wanted. It is used to break aggression, jumping, biting, and other bad behaviors. Multiple dogs in the room are a common class training tactic. Kathi travels to places like pets mart and needs to figure out of your dog has been properly socialized. An aggressive dog, no matter how well trained is no bueno. If your dog is aggressive it’s not good for you or your dog. Many dogs get put down every year for being dog aggressive when they just weren’t socialized properly. Alternatively, multiple dogs in the room at once acts as a distraction for the dog while training so your dog can learn how to do things in that kind of environment. Shiro often sits in the room as a distraction for the benefit of your dog. He is also always treated well. She also has a wolf dog that has never hurt a fly. Lastly, she tries really hard to get to know your dog. Breed or breeds can really effect the kind of training your dog needs. My dog for example is a shepsky. She learns differently than say a chihuahua... Kathi will definitely try to figure out the breed of your dog because it is essential to your training needs. Her lessons are personalized and even though you have set sessions she might go over time working on something. She always completes her sessions and if she ever takes up your time you’ll stay longer. I just thought I’d clear some things up because I’ve been using Kathi for a long time and she always explains what she’s doing when she does it."
"Kathi is an amazing trainer. So many of our customers use her. She is willing to help you with any questions you have, and she makes sure you get the most out of her classes. Kathi truly has a passion for pet training. She is definitely the best!"
"Kathi is gifted. I highly recommend her. Her positive attitude and passion for every dog she works with is amazing! She really cares and just has a special touch with all animals."
"She is a kind, wonderful, good spirited woman. She truly loves dogs. I have used her to train 2 of my dogs with fast results. Would never trust my babies with anyone else."
