Reviews of Bardo Arts Center
"What an amazing facility! Not only is there a first-class performing arts theater, there are large still arts areas, and frequent major exhibits."
"The Art Center had a temporary exhibit of artwork by members of the Eastern Band of Cherokees, and an adjacent exhibit featuring indigenous peoples' art from various tribes. While the displays were not particularly extensive, they were exhibited attractively with comprehensive notes of explanation. The personnel overseeing the exhibits were pleasant in the extreme and took their time to inform us about other museum options on campus. Parking can be a little tricky, but the excellence of the event makes a bit of minor inconvenience very well worth it."
"As a two time graduate from Western Carolina University I can say that this is one of the nicest building on campus. The art museum is well kept and masterfully curated. I have enjoyed the space many times and am proud of those that make the space so special. Definitely should be on your list of places to visit while on campus!"
"This review is from the point of view of a member of an organization that has used this facility for a week's worth of events in the auditorium. The first thing I have to mention off the top is the staff. Everyone We have dealt with there - *everyone* - has been not only welcoming and friendly, but extremely helpful in meeting our needs. If there has ever been a problem, which is rare, they have worked hard to find a way to solve it. As someone with a background in audio and video production, I have been quite pleased with their technology. The audio system is up to date, and the crew always uses it to put out a quality product. My organization also used their two camera setup with PTZ cameras mounted in the auditorium. We were quite pleased with that for some of the content we streamed online. As someone with a quarter century experience in television, I would love to see more than two cameras, but that is just the TV producer in me always wanting more. :-) There is a good possibility my group will be back again next year, and will need to use Bardo once more. I do look forward to this. The facility and the people who run it are top notch. I also look forward to returning, as there are some art galleries in the back that I have not yet explored. Some of them apparently are geared towards art related to the First Nations people who lived on this land. I am eager to explore that content."
"Beautiful venue on Western Carolina University. We had the pleasure of attending an Out of this World talk with Charlie Duke. Amazing staff who are friendly and helpful!!!"
