Reviews of Dr. Susan E. Webb, MD
"I had gone to doctor web for 10 years. Recently I had a major concern postpartum and urgently called to get in ASAP. I was told I had to wait a month to get into see Dr. Webb. It was worth it to me to be with someone I trusted. A week before my appointment I was notified that she would be out of office, but due to my fear and concern I kept my appointment with the new NP. Finally I got to my appointment (a 35 min drive) and was told that they couldn’t see me because they do not accept my secondary insurance.. they’ve seen me since I had the secondary insurance. I also confirmed my insurance on the phone when I made the appointment. Had I known about this I would have gotten into see another doctor quickly and had my issues resolved and cared for. The two women in the office were annoyed and unapologetic at the inconvenience. Sadly I will have to find a new obgyn. Since doctor Webb’s husband and previous NP have stepped away it has gone down hill. I’m very disappointed"
"I have been a patient of this gynecology office for 4+ years and never ran into the experiences I have until this year. I went for my annual exam and an additional culture was needed, which is fine. I also was prescribed birth control for the first time in my adult life and I am 34 years old this year. Once the results came back from my culture I was prescribed two different anabiotic’s without communication and I had advised I was having issues with the online portal. I have an auto immune disorder that requires me to take probiotics that antibiotics can counteract, Ultimately leaving me back to step one regarding my gut and eczema issues. My gynecologist was also aware that I had eczema and did not warn me that birth-control, even a low hormone dose, can exasperate eczema. Before I started taking the antibiotics or the birth control I wanted to talk to the gynecologist. I called a total of FOUR times within a weeks time frame before someone called me back. When I finally received a phone call back from Dr. Webb I was met with confusion as to why I had the questions I had. Nonetheless, I did get the answers I needed and began taking my birth control and antibiotics. A few weeks later I got a letter in the mail from my insurance company letting me know that I possibly would owe 500+ dollars to a lab company because the company was outside my network. I immediately call the gynecology office to inquire as to what’s going on and they told me I had received a pamphlet with the information of change regarding the lab that they used. I nicely explained that I never received a pamphlet and even if I did someone should have verbally communicated with me that the lab had changed within the last couple of months for them and it was no longer in network. I even had a discussion with the office manager and my gynecologist before I left on the time frames for both my annual Pap smear and culture to come back and no one thought to mention it then either. So I had to dispute it with my gynecologist office, my insurance company and now the lab company. I requested a call back from the office manager and waited several business days to of course, not hear back. So I called again and finally get to speak to Glenn, the office manager. He spoke so hastily and fast with me and treated me like I did not matter and the reasons that I was upset and concerned did not matter. I explained to him there should have been better communication and I would hope that they would do something to fix this, at which time he told me he already called the lab company and hopefully my bill should only be around $50 (we’ll see when I get the bill). Which is obviously acceptable. However, I then asked for my gynecologist to call me back because I was experiencing some issues with my eczema due to the birth control and antibiotics. I was grilled by Glenn as to why I could possibly have questions about eczema in which I nicely explained I had been diagnosed by the gynecologist and already received medication for and that I wanted to discuss alternatives potentially. I asked the timeframe to receive a call back and guess what? Never had a call back! It’s now been a week. My GP prescribed me prednisone to clear the SEVERE eczema outbreak bc my gyno would not call back! I stopped taking the birth control too. I will be finding a new gynecologist office."
"Initially I had a new patient appointment with Dr. Webb but she was sick, I was a little upset but I decided to go ahead and see the nurse practitioner. I’m so glad I did! Love Rachel Fields!! I don’t know what these other people are talking about with the lack of calls regarding test results because I’ve gotten calls or messages in a timely manner. I’ve also called the office several times and I can usually get Rachel on the phone instantly.. the ladies in the office have always been nice too!"
"My wife experienced the absolute worst service at this doctor. She went in for blood work and after 8 days of no response, she was concerned. She called on a Monday and was told Dr. Webb would call her back. This never happened. The next day, my wife got a text from our pharmacy saying she had 2 prescriptions waiting on her. We still had not received any phone calls as to what the diagnoses was or why these medicines were necessary. My wife then attempted to call again and the receptionist was extremely rude and acted as if her call was an annoyance. Then on Wednesday, we called again and of course Dr. Webb was out of the office. No communication at all! On top of all this, my cousin also had blood work drawn and they lost it! They took no responsibility and blamed it on the lab. This is a joke of practice, and I am embarrassed for them."
"I now drive 3.5 hours for my gyno visits (after moving for a job) because she's the only gynecologist I'd ever let touch me. I've had successful surgeries and procedures performed by Dr. Webb, and she couldn't have been more informative and compassionate! Love the entire staff. They always "work me in" because I'm a long distance patient. Wouldn't leave her practice for the world!!"
