"I have had 2 sons go thru FHS, were beyond prepared for college. Teachers cared about students, many left higher paying real world jobs & had that experience to pass on to students. The teachers actually want to teach 2 student who want to learn. All schools r same, you get back what u put into it. What a accepting place for special needs kids, all needs r met. Go Ads!"
"The best public high school in Knoxville. To my view, it is even better than some private institutions. I have learned more than I could imagine, and finding myself growing with all the relationship I had there. So I’m writing this two years after my initial comment, two years after my graduation. I went to Farragut from 10th-12th grade. I was a terrible student my freshmen year before I came to FHS. I had 1.7 GPA (something like that) and a suspension record, and I graduated with 3.3 GPA and went to Penn State (I was admitted to UTK too). I was never on top of my graduating class, however as an underdog, FHS was a place where I came to learn that hard work pays off, and how you could accomplish your goal step by step. That’s one good lesson I learned and had a life changing difference. I am doing very well in college, and I’m going to start school in Oxford University in the Fall. If anything, the outstanding Sciences, Math, English and Art Departments of FHS prepared me well for college and taught me stuff more then I would ever have expected. I had a choice between Webb and Farragut when I moved to Knoxville, I’m glad I went to Farragut. It was part of growing-up, and I had a good time there."
"What the heck was going on in the administratives minds when they thought it was justified to SUSPEND a student over one chicken nugget. As a school, you should be ashamed. Literally the most unimportant matter I have ever heard of for a suspension. Turn the focus into more important matters, like bullying."
"Great High School with the Best Math department. ( I may be a little biased) Love the students and the faculty."
