Reviews of High Risk Obstetrical Consultants
"My first appointment here was at 9 weeks. I met dr viscotti he was nice and seemed knowledgeable and told me everything good bad and ugly that day. It was a lot to take it but I appreciated his honesty. I didn’t really like the rest of the office staff at that visit. Well went there for a bit and due to my transportation issues I wasn’t able to get to Johnson city on short notices and so they thought it best to transfer me to dr Saunders office in Kingsport. Between them and dr Saunders office I feel like my feels and worries aren’t being taken into consideration and this being my first almost full term pregnancy I’m scared and clueless on any and everything and losing 4 other pregnancies before can you blame me. I left a voicemail for them yesterday saying I felt like they didn’t care and where not taking my concerns and my health needs into consideration and that I wanted something to be done and that this has been the worst pregnancy experience ever and it makes me not want another baby. Well in my chart ballad health notes read that the nurse at Hi-ROC said I left a nasty message. I was a little annoyed and aggravated but I wasn’t nasty just saying how I felt. Needless to say I will never use them again or dr Saunders office either especially if I decide to have another baby in the future"
"Highly recommended! I have cervical insufficiency and was referenced to see Dr. Visconti. His practice has done both of my cervical Cerclage in both of my pregnancy. Not only is he a great doctor who is very well educated and thorough with his work. He has wonderful bedside manners, which is a HUGE plus. One thing I love, is he takes his time with his patients. You don’t feel rushed or uncared for. I also have anxiety when I go to my other OB, but I feel so relaxed when I come to my appointments because I know im not a number, I’m a patient who is cared for. The staff is also wonderful and friendly! Let’s just say this! If he could deliver my baby, I would drive 1+ hour while in labor just for him to! This place is awesome!!"
"We received positive results on an NIPT screening 2.5 weeks ago. Our normal OB gave us zero information, which caused us to Google ourselves into an absolute panic. We finally got to see Dr. Visconti today and the amount of relief we felt was incredible. It's still not "good" news yet, but he was extremely thorough and transparent as he explained the screening results and next steps to getting more information. Most doctors are the "turn and burn" style - trying to get to the next patient as fast as possible- but I truly felt like we were the only ones there with how generous he was with his time. Dr. Visconti is the most genuinely caring doctor I believe I've ever seen and our area is so lucky to have him!"
"Very compassionate and explained the details of my blood clotting disorder. This is a "high risk" office so you come to expect the news/info that your regular OB/GYN cannot provide so understand this when you are seen. It is scary to think you are high risk but I am thankful everyone was so kind to us and I left feeling heard and I also had a better understanding on my condition. Thankful for Dr. Visconti and his staff!! Tara Johnson"
"On my 20 week ultrasound the doc found my placenta was low (2 cm from cervix) and I had a 4cm fibroid near my bladder. Immediately suggested having a C-section and treated me like a vaginal birth wasn't an option. A low placenta usually moves out of the way of the cervix as pregnancy progresses, and not all fibroids are harmful during pregnancy, so this irritated me. I was made to feel like something was really wrong with me and that I would most likely not have a vaginal birth (which is what I am wanting). I was expecting to hear more about our actual baby, but literally all the doc said was "the baby's fine" and told us the weight. My midwife was also not allowed to attend the ultrasound or even sit in the waiting room, although she is my primary care provider. An emotionally draining and annoying experience."
