"Doctor Coarsey is a great Doctor. He delivered both my sons over 30years ago. I still go to his office for check ups."
"I was almost 5 months pregnant when I fell down the stairs at my house and called his office for more than 20 days about knowing that my baby was hurt and he never agreed to see me until my next follow up visit. He prescribed me a medication that caused hallucinations!! When I went to my next appointment, he couldn’t find my baby’s heartbeat, so he decided to do ultrasound. He proceeded to show me my baby’s head, body, told me that he was a boy, and then told me that there was no heartbeat and that he was dead. Just like that… then he said that the baby would “come out “ on his own…. Three weeks after my accident I had to be admitted to the hospital to induce labor. He didn’t come back until two hours after I had delivered, the placenta did not come out, so my son was still connected through the umbilical cord and just laying laying between my legs for over three hours, before he showed up. When he came, he cut the umbilical cord and punched me in my stomach to get the placenta out. Then he left. Never prescribed medication, what I needed to know or do afterwards, nor referred me to counseling for my loss."
"Unprofessional is an understatement. I researched birth centers for months. I found natural beginnings and was super excited to come here to have Dr. Coarsey deliver my twins. We drove over an hour for our appointment. We arrived at 12:08 for our 12 o’clock appointment (we felt there was no need to call and tell them we were running late because we know that we have a 10 minute grace period Within all doctors offices and that we were within that time). We followed the instructions and called the number to let them know we were outside. The receptionist casually let me know that they meant to call me and tell me that my appointment would need to be rescheduled. I told her that they had not called, emailed or left any message and that my husband I had driven over an hour to be here for my appointment and I expected to be seen today. They then try to act like it was an issue that my paperwork was not done and said “we wouldn’t be able to see you anyway.” It was clear that I was dealing with a team of people who did not care that 1. They did not communicate with me about their expectations. 2. They did not communicate with me about their need to reschedule. 3. They then tried to flip it on me and make it a matter of paper work. They failed to offer me the opportunity to complete the paperwork while I was here. My partner and I sat in the car and called to speak to a manager to see if there’s anyway that we could be seen or do the paperwork or anything. They took no accountability for the fact that they dropped the ball. We talked with Amber, she was unaccommodating and took no accountability for the fact that her receptionist had just told me “we meant to call you and cancel your appointment.” As we talked with Amber on the phone we watched a couple walk in for their appointment. This is after they had insisted that they were closed and I was the last appointment for today! Something isn’t right here...This is totally unacceptable. I would like to add that we are people of color, who feel dismissed, unheard, and unwanted in this establishment. I would recommend you finding another center. We will."
"This facility is a great place and Dr. Coarsey is a great doctor who did a great job delivering my son. His nursing staff is wonderful to work with. The receptionist is nice too. The only reason I give this place 4 and not 5 stars is beware of the attitude that the office manager will give you when you are having insurance issues. She was rude and not professional at all. This lady needs an attitude adjustment when dealing with the public."
"I have been with Brookdale OB/GYN going on 25 years now. What is the reason I keep going? I trust Dr. Coarsey! He delivered 5 out of 6 babies with ease. (I moved out of state for one delivery.)He even delivered my grandson! He is now helping me weather the storm of getting older. He has helped me so much through the years. The whole team is kind and compassionate. I like seeing their faces."
