"Went in elementary school on a field trip. It was like a fever dream. Left me traumatized. The two old ladies hate children actually people in general. I am not sure if they are still alive but if they are, thanks for the trauma."
"The absolute worst field trip that I have ever attended. I have children in grade school and have gone to the majority of their field trips. Never have I ever encountered such rude, disrespectful and nasty people like I did on this trip. I am not one to usually blast or give negative feedbacks, but this trip was definitely an exception and others need to know about what they're getting themselves into. This was the first time my child's school has ever been to Heritage Theatre and let me assure you, it is their last as it was unanimously agreed by all the teachers. I understand that 6th graders can be loud and rowdy at times, but these kids definitely did not deserve to be treated so badly for the time that they were there. They were so scared to make the wrong move, not be able to speak loud enough, not be able to fold the costumes the way Granny wanted them, or just some other lame reason, that they just could not enjoy their time there at all. I believe that there were a lot of good contents/facts of history that the kids could've really learned, but when you are constantly being rudely interrupted and then yelled at, it's kind of hard to retain anything you've read or heard. It's so hard for me to believe that this place has been in business for as long as it has. I truly believe that these two ladies, 'running the show', needs to just retire. Truly and honestly, they just don't have the discipline and patience to work with young kids and they should realize that. I applaud the teachers and parents, who went on this trip, for their patience and professionalism to have held it together so well. No one deserves to be treated the way Granny treated those kids. It's just awful and wrong! Understand that your time is done and RETIRE."
"Don't go on a field trip here. My little brother is in third grade and he went on a field trip here. He's reliable and smart for someone his age, so I can trust what he told me. He said that the woman there yelled at the kids for almost the whole time they were there, (about 2 hours) said they weren't "good citizens" if they didn't know how many kids their lunch lady had and if they didn't make their own food at home (these are 8 and 9 year olds). She discouraged them from following their dreams which is honestly a TERRIBLE thing to say to a kid. You should not tell a child that their dreams are impossible and they should be a lawyer instead. She also said they shouldn't yawn in public. Among other things. She also yelled at the kids multiple times because they raised their hands to ask questions. Field trips are meant to be learning environments. Kids are SUPPOSED to be curious and they are MEANT to ask questions. And telling a kid off for something that is positive and normal and that they should be doing is really just a horrible thing to do. People that treat kids this way should be ashamed of themselves. I went on a couple of field trips here when I was younger and even though I love history, I never enjoyed it. I don't remember much from my own experience, just that I didn't enjoy it."
"My son's second grade class went on a field trip here last week. I was upset at what my son expressed to me when he got home. His school was told by one of the ladies working there, out of the 18yrs she's been working there, this was the worst school ever!! The kids were told not to flush when using the bathroom, not to run the water to wash their hands but to use sanitizer! This kind of behavior should not accepted. These are 7 and 8 year old kids who were excited about a trip. To be told that really upset my child and if the school decided to go there again for a field trip my kids will not participate. Just horrible!!"
