Chew The Fat: Bar, Lounge, and Grill

"My friend and I decided to support this establishment being that it is black owned. I made reservations and we went. The atmosphere is nice. So 20 minutes after our arrival we decided on drinks appetizers and our meal. But unfortunately even though we got the drinks right away our meal didn't come until over an hour later. This was unacceptable and I was very disappointed. There were only four people including my friend and I left in the establishment waiting for food. It was not crowded at all. Even though the food was olay, I will not return to this establishment. I wish them the best of luck in the future and hopefully they will work on their service."

"Friends and I walked here based on other reviews and to avoid eating at an airport hotel for dinner. This is a very cute and slim bar with just a table or two. We sat at the bar which was super clean. Our server was delightful and attentive. We were CLEARLY out-of-towners but we never felt that way. Drinks were tasty, they have some specials, and the food was made to order and very satisfying."

"My wife and kids were on vacation without me for 6 days so when they returned I wanted to go somewhere different and not too far. CHEW THE FAT was it! 20 minute drive from our house there wasn't bad. The place is clean, atmosphere was GREAT and food and drinks were definitely on point. For my wife to SAY I'D GO AGAIN. It has to be GREAT! Go and see for yourself guys you won't be disappointed"

"I had a great experience. My friend and I are from KC and we wanted something authentic and savory. We decided to eat here and were extremely satisfied. Between the two of us we order shrimp and grits, chicken wing(Parmesan and Buffalo), chicken and waffles, lobster Mac and cheese, and fried eggs. Everything was prepared to order and the bottomless mimosa is a great value."

"Came here for Sunday brunch. Gotta start with the deviled eggs. It’s very hard to put a twist on this old classic but Chew The Fat managed to do it. The deviled eggs were really good. Finished off with the chicken and waffles. They have this pineapple butter that they put on the waffles….Amazing! Friendly staff, great food and music to enhance the vibe. Can’t ask for more than that."
