He took the pictures and I was on my way in less than 15 minutes. He was professional, courteous and made this a quick and painless process. I would definitely return and ask for Mr. Alin."

"I am not the type to write a Google review unless I feel that the owner or manager of an establishment has committed an egregious act against a customer, and my family's experience at New Hyde Park Car Care Center is nothing short of egregious. Earlier today, my brother came to New Hyde Park Car Care Center to get a New York State inspection and CARCO inspection (for insurance providers). My brother--who is a teenager and now owns his own car for the first time in his life--was told that the inspection was supposed to take a few hours. When he came to pick up his car, he was charged FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500). Yes, he was charged $500 for two inspections, one of which (CARCO) was supposed to be complimentary. The mechanics had apparently performed a ton of superfluous maintenance on the car--including, but not limited to, an alignment, a tire rotation, and an oil change--when the car RECENTLY HAD ITS OIL CHANGED AND IS TOO YOUNG TO EVEN NEED AN ALIGNMENT (it was manufactured in 2019). The mechanics NEVER OBTAINED (or even tried to obtain) MY BROTHER'S CONSENT FOR THIS WORK. Please, for the sake of your financial stability, stay FAR AWAY from this mechanic. There is a mechanic about half a mile up the road on the corner of Marcus Avenue and Hillside Avenue (also at a BP station) who WILL NOT rip you off; it's worth the extra drive."

"Went here on a Saturday to have my car photo inspected for collision insurance coverage. They were closed, even though the Carco website said they were open. I asked about the new hours and was told 8-6 M-F. The following Tuesday, I woke up early, paid for a car wash, and drove over, just to be told, by the same person from Saturday, their hours are 9-5. Don't waste your time coming here. If they can't get basic information about their hours right, they probably can't get complicated information about your car right, either."

"These guys are the worst of the worst. Complete rip off artists. Brought my Lincoln LS in to have a coolant leak fixed. When I got the car back the air conditioning was blowing hot on one side. I have Geico unlimited mechanical breakdown on the car so I only pay a $250 deductible on any work that is done. These guys raped Geico for thousands of dollars to change the radiator and a whole host of other parts. I got the car back and still the same issue after they had the car for 2 weeks. They didn't put screws back into the bottom of the dash board and wires were left hanging out. After taking the car to the Lincoln dealership, the only thing wrong was a $25 thermostat harness had to be replaced and I was told none of the other work was necessary. These guys are crooks and have no idea what they are doing. They just want to take advantage of you. Stay away!!!!!!"
