We’ve also found Oak St Advisors to be extremely flexible in how involved you’d like them to be with managing your finances. Oak St Advisors is a fee-only, fiduciary financial planner. You don’t have to worry about whether they're recommending an insurance product or investment strategy just to help their bottom line. They are required by law to put your interests first. Having worked with planners that do not have a fiduciary duty, I can assure you that there is a big difference. I found Oak St Advisors through the NAPFA website. If you are in the market for a financial planner, you should definitely prioritize planners that are fee-only and fiduciary. You will get “cheaper” financial plans from your investment firm, insurance provider, or other financial institution, but those planners are nearly always incentivized to sell you various financial or insurance products."
