"The entire experience was a disaster. I got a phone call the day before confirming my appointment and showed up promptly at 9am the next day. I spent the next 30 minutes waiting for a young man with Scooby-Doo Shaggy vibes to help some old man buy a trailer while three of us waited in line. He spent the entire time on the phone asking someone at another location how to do the paperwork. A mousy young redhead peeped out from the employee room and quickly scurried back into hiding in fear. Apparently it was her second day on the job. When Shaggy finally finished with trailer guy he said "I have some bad news, our trailer hitch installer called in sick." I told Shaggy that I drove 30 minutes for this appointment and that they should at least have had the courtesy to call me and let me know the appointment was canceled. I'll never do business with this U-Haul location again."
"Extremely satisfied with Uhaul of Colonie. The gentleman named John that installed my Hitch was very kind, professional and courteous. Once he completed the Hitch, he walked me out to the vehicle and explained the process. He offered to assemble a bike carrier as well that I was going to purchase later in the week. When I returned a few days later, John assembled and installed the bike carrier for me. You do not find this type of service anywhere. The gentleman at the front desk was also extremely kind and very professional. Highly recommend Uhaul of Colonie"
"I didn't have to wait more than 30 minutes past the appointment time for work to get started. That was the good news. The bad news was that there wasn't a cut-out for the hitch (I'll get that done elsewhere) and there was a piece of plastic trim in the back of my Outback that was cracked that I didn't notice until I got home."
"Everyone was very friendly and they did a fast perfect job. Explained to me everything I needed to know. And off I went in less then a hour. Couldn’t ask for better service."
