Reviews of Wine Country Financial Group
"Mr. Davis came into my house to try and sell me house mortgage insurance. The entire time I felt very uncomfortable and pressured into doing what he asked. He talked about how many policies he sells and how I would not be able to find a better deal anywhere else which is not true when I was in fact quotes something cheaper by a different company. I told him that I did not want to purchase anything from them until I spoke to my fiancé but he would not leave my house until I signed certain documents for the “application” for the policy. He assured me that it was not a contract but asked me for a voided check to “hold” and I would be contacted before they took any payment out of my account. Today I saw that they took out $56 for the first payment even though I never verbally agreed to the policy. They mailed me a contract today with my signature on it when the man did not show me a contract but simply gave me a piece of paper and said to sign it for the application for the policy when in fact it was a hidden contract. What kind of business does shady business like this. Not one that I want to be associated with for sure. Called and left a message to have them contact me so we will see if they reply. Do not recommend. Do not let this creep into your house."
"Mr. Davis came to our home on a Sunday afternoon to "discuss" insurance policies, rather than leave the information for my spouse and I to look over and make a decision after we had had ample time to discuss the options, we were basically told " which one is it going to be" and felt rather pressured to make a decision on the spot, which we unfortunately did. Afterwards, having discussed amongst ourselves we decided that we did not wish to pursue the policy that we had chosen as it was not going to work well with our budget. I contacted Mr. Davis on a Monday and finally heard back from him on Wednesday. I explained that we were no longer interested in the policies and wished to withdraw, I was then informed that the paper work had already been processed and that we should get an approval " as early as tomorrow" and was told " your cost alone is down to only $30. I was also told during that same phone call that "I"ll give you a call once we hear from (the company)" and "I'll always return your call." Several days passed without a call, Then I checked my banking account and there was an amount debited to the insurance company, granted it was much less than what we had originally thought, however, I was still displeased as I had not heard anything from Mr. Davis. I contacted him on this day and left a voicemail requesting a call back, to date I have not received a call back, however my husband did receive a text message finally stating that we had been approved by the insurance company and stating that an email had been sent to my husbands work email (which is rarely used) a day earlier. Now, as stated previously the amount debited was less than what we previously discussed, however, we work hard for our money and what may not seem like a lot to Mr. Davis is, in fact, a lot to us."
