"Lived at this complex for 2 years and absolutely loved it. We were the first people to live in/lease our unit. The units are very quiet and block a lot of the noise from neighbors. It was pleasantly surprising to be able to hear our neighbors in the hallways but not at all once entering our unit. The designs of the units are also great, with very nice appliances and large windows with lots of natural light. The amenities are also fantastic and the leasing office staff were always extremely friendly, efficient, and helpful, answering emails and requests right away. A great location to live if you are looking to be near downtown Raleigh but want to feel as if you are in a residential area. Very sad to leave!"
"Initially, my boyfriend and I were super excited to move here - it’s an awesome location, and the complex was a Greystar property at the time (we love Greystar). Within the first year of our lease, however, the property switched hands and unfortunately, our experience has gone downhill ever since. There have been multiple safety issues with several exterior doors (which are supposed to be secure and accessed via fob) remaining broken for days, weeks, even months at a time, allowing anyone to access the building at any time, or preventing residents from accessing or exiting the building via the broken door altogether. Broken glass also sat in the stairwell next to the parking garage for weeks - a hazard to residents and their pets. Additionally, there’s a lack of basic, regular upkeep of the property. This large hole (located on the left wall leading into the common area) has been here for weeks. There’s always something funky going on with lighting in the halls. The carpeting throughout the building has become stained and dingy, the walls are heavily scuffed, and a lot of the equipment in the gym has begun to malfunction (like the treadmills). Some of the people in the office are very nice and helpful, but I would still heavily suggest to anyone looking at apartments in the area to consider any other property/options. My boyfriend and I both think that you can get much better value for the price and a true “luxury” experience elsewhere, where management will take initiative in keeping the property both safe and clean"
"You can't beat the location - within walking distance to so many shops and restaurants in Village District, easy walk to Pullen Park, and not far from Glenwood South/Downtown area. It's a newer building so the amenities still feel brand new, especially the gym and lounge area. The apartments are very quiet. I'm always surprised when I can hear my neighbors music while in the hallway, but don't hear anything once I step into my apartment. The new management team is great at hosting events for residents. They even provide breakfast or lunch on Friday's for everyone. Marie and the rest of the office team are great and easy to work with!"
"One of the best apartments I have lived in!! Loved the area and that it was walking distance into Cameron Village and to classes on State's campus. I noticed some of the other people talking about pet charges but I didn't experience anything like this with my dog upon moving out. The staff here were super helpful and nice from my original tour up to when I moved out. Great people and great area. If I could have stayed in Raleigh I would keep living here."
"Pros: The building is beautiful and the location is great. Cons: Management will nickel and dime you, they don't always respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner, and the rent increases are ridiculous. Just a few quick examples... 1. Guest parking passes are usually free. I was going out of town for the week and planning to take my car with me. I had someone lined up to watch my dog while I was away, so I requested a guest parking pass for the 6 days I would be away. Even though I was not asking for any additional space in the parking garage (the pet sitters car would have just replaced mine for the week), I was charged $25 for the guest parking pass. 2. I have a pup that came to me from an abusive home. When he would have an accident in the house, he was beaten. This resulted in a dog that is very serious about doing his business outside. Over a month after I moved out, management emailed me a bill with no context. When I asked what I was being charged for, they said it was for additional carpet cleaning due to expressive pet odors. I work from home and that dog was hardly ever out of my sight - he didn't even have an opportunity to secretly pee inside. There definitely were no excessive pet odors in that apartment..."
