"This is the worst place I’ve ever lived and I would NEVER recommend Alister Lake Lynn to anyone. Walls/ceilings are paper thin so you will hear literally every single step your upstairs neighbors make. We have had the unfortunate luck of having two extremely loud families above us in the time we’ve lived here who will stomp/jump around all day AND night. I don’t think I’ve had a single good night’s sleep in the year+ we’ve lived here. Our neighbors smoke weed in their apartments and the smell seeps into our apartment on a daily basis. Other residents will have parties and/or screaming matches in the middle of the night. Our fireplace NEVER worked and we have been told it won’t be fixed. We have been missing a kitchen drawer the entire 1+ year we’ve lived here and have been told it will not be replaced (it’s literally just an open hole in our cabinets). We have had our car broken into more than once here. If you reach out to the office, good luck getting a response - it takes weeks for them to email back. We put in our notice that we were breaking our lease on 10/28 and it took them over a month to send us a buy-out addendum on 11/29, after multiple email follow-ups on my part. These apartments are so trashy (literally, there is trash EVERYWHERE). Do NOT be fooled by the “luxury amenities” and “upgrades.” I am SO glad to be moving out!"

"Please save your time, money and patience as this was the worst experience I have ever had. My partner and I were so excited to move in until we realized how unprofessional and rude the front office staff are. On move in day, we went to pick up our keys for the apartment and were told that the original unit was not ready so we were given an alternative unit (things happen, we understood). But why did you not tell us ahead of time? Upon moving into the alternative unit, we found many issues. We immediately began the checklist where we noted the few outlets not working, the shattered guest room mirror (which was known about by the leasing agent, Karla, but did not inform us until WE asked), dryer not working, and AC not working (we didn’t have AC the entire almost month we were there, btw). We filed numerous maintenance requests regarding the dryer, AC, sewage (sinks and toilets clogged). My partner filed these maintenance requests over the phone with after hour employees, and we later learned that those employees actually fail to communicate your issues to maintenance. Four (4) maintenance requests were filed before we asked to speak with the community manager, Azalea. During this meeting we informed her that we would like to take advantage of the 30 day opt out option. After basically laughing in our faces, we went higher up for our opt out to be approved. After speaking with the leasing office first hand and not feeling heard or validated, we had no other choice to go higher up to actually get anything done. After a month of arguing with these people, we finally got help from a manager at the location in Charlotte, who was so helpful and let us opt out. Please save your time and money - this place is a sad embarrassment."

"This is the worst complex I have lived in. Parking is terrible, they randomly shut off your water without any advanced notice, the leasing office staff are rude and rarely answer the phone. I didn’t have access to my mailbox for 3 months and had to repeatedly call for them to fix it. Maintenance staff is nice, but take months to fix any issues. Walls are so thin you hear everything and there are a lot of noisy neighbors so good luck getting a good nights rest with someone blasting music at 3am. Overpriced for what you get, and lots of hidden fees. They also tried to bribe tenants with $100 gift cards to put 5 star reviews which is ridiculous. Very disappointing place to live."

"What an embarrassment of an apartment complex and management group. If you're looking for rude office workers, tons of hidden fees, unannounced rent increases and garbage everywhere this may be the spot for you! From the day we moved in our drains backed up and were clogged from previous tenants and our garbage disposal leaked to the cabinets below. Even after maintenance "fixed" the leak it still occurred. (Maintenance is wonderful here and the workers are awesome). If you had issues you could email the office and they will almost never respond or call them and converse with someone in another state with no knowledge of the property. For almost a year there was no pool, gym or tennis court as promised. The pathways surrounded them are full of dog poop containers overflowing with waste! The outside lights overlooking my building and stairs are all burnt out and have been for months. Workers with leafblowers doing no real work start as early as 7am daily and work well into the evening doing nothing but making noise. Even the "beautification" process they attempted of repainting and repaving the area looks poor and was a long convoluted process that had no set schedule and only existed to disrupt. The workers at the office never have answers regarding random charges and rent increases and offer nothing. save your money, live ANYWHERE else."

"PLEASE READ: I have had it with this apartment complex. I lived there for 2 years Nov 2019 - Nov 2021. I will start with the important stuff. As I had the apartment vacant for the last month I lived there because I was moving out. There was a break in, tons of damages, offensive language on the walls. Someone had ripped off the screened window of the apartment and climbed in and had been living there. It made me feel violated and disgusted. Not only that, but the insurance they refer you to does not cover damages from other individuals. The insurance company said they only cover damages to the apartment if it is your fault, and that the apartment complex has insurance to cover those types of damages. Well, they either DON'T or the DON'T care. I have called multiple times and they assured me they would not charge me for the damages. Well guess what, they did, and they sent it to collections! I called them and they said they would contact the collections agency, it's been several months, THEY HAVE NOT. I am out over $400. If I were you, I would not walk but RUN AWAY. Honorable mentions, there was flood damage in my apartment. The team came in and cut a hole out of my dry wall and just left it there. The staff are so intolerable they changed 3-4 times in my short tenure there. Tons of dog poop everywhere, they never fill the bag stations. Tons of broken down vehicles parked all around the lot, they said they would tow them and never did. This place is a complete sham."
