"My time at the Greens at Tryon was horrendous. For one of the inspections, nobody showed up on the date that we were given because inspections were suddenly canceled. I had to learn through another tenant that maintenance and office staff were GOING THROUGH THEIR MAIL and making disgusting remarks about them living there (which was never publicly addressed). The maintenance person who made these comments is still on the staff somehow, so no “appropriate actions” were taken. When I signed for the apartment, I was assured that there would be handicap parking in front of my building, which was not true. The closest handicap parking was at the next building. The parking is so bad here that some nights I would have to walk 4-5 buildings away just to walk to my apartment. On my first day, I had to put in SEVEN maintenance requests because it was so obvious that management did not inspect the apartment before moving in. Cracked bathtubs and toilets, leaky faucets, etc. just on the first day! By the time I left my unit, my A/C unit had malfunctioned FIVE times over a year and a half. At one point we had to wait two weeks in the summer for a new unit because they were all out of mobile units. Another time, I had a stovetop burner that did not work for three months and I had to ask the staff three times to get it fixed, only for the staff to forget to ask a third-party contractor to come to the unit. We also had no Wi-Fi in the bedroom farthest from the router. We had to call spectrum to come to the unit and they were unhelpful, as changing the internet policy of our apartment complex would go against the lease’s terms. So one of the two bedrooms was essentially useless for any internet access (which is important in 2023!). We had to run a 100ft Ethernet cord through the apartment until maintenance told me it was a fire hazard.. but what was I supposed to do??? I was looking forward to living here, but I ultimately left disappointed by the management. Lying to tenants about the inspections and then having to constantly deal with a faulty A/C unit because the complex ran out of mobile units was terrible."
"Since this apartment complex has been taken over by priess and new management The standard of our living has gone completely down. Their biggest worry is profit and not how the apartment complex is taken care of. I have been living here for almost 7 years and I'm disgusted with our living conditions now. I don't advise anyone to move into this apartment complex. This is rodent feces up and down our stairwell where we put our hands. They're not concerned about cleaning things like this"
"This place has very poor management. During an inspection, office and maintenance staff were caught on camera going through a tenant’s mail and personal belongings while also making very nasty comments about the tenants. Please check the complex’s Facebook page to see others say the same. The office closes randomly, which is great if you have an issue. The grounds are not maintained well; the advertised tennis court has never had a net on it. Overall, a poorly managed complex."
"Living here has been okay, just wish that my apartment received some updates. I recently renewed my lease and I should have given it a second thought. I didn’t receive any incentive for renewing my lease such as carpet cleaning like some of the other complexes provide. There also was a huge hole on my bathroom ceiling due to a leak upstairs. It had to be fixed a second time due to not being done correctly the first time. After the hole was fixed, the painters came to repaint and dropped paint droplets everywhere! I have paint on the floor of my bathroom, entry way, and laundry room. Certain aspects make the apartment feel cheap/old such as the faucets, appliances, flimsy doors, cheap paint jobs, cracks on ceiling, etc."
"Our time here has been pretty good! The staff has been great throughout our year here, being a big help and offering various fun activities and giveaways to residents. The floor plan has easily been my favorite to date with any place I've rented. It's an apartment that I will definitely miss (moving because of work!), with the area being great too. My only complaint was less to do with the apartment complex itself and more the neighbors. We had some nice ones but we also had some noisy, inconsiderate ones, but that's something you may run into anywhere! Nonetheless, that was a small blemish on an otherwise delightful year here. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced but premium-feeling apartment. I know the clubhouse is undergoing renovations, and I am a little bummed that I won't get to see the finished product!"
