Blue Hill Apartments

"I’ve lived here for going on my second year now I really like living here at Blue Hill. They did a really good job with renovations (trust me I have seen the place before it was Blue Hill) and all my appliances are brand new. They are very pet friendly and the office people have been nothing but helpful to me. For people saying there are roaches … only outside… that’s where roaches live. I have not seen one in my apartment thus far. Great place to live for students or small families. The room they show you online looks exactly like the apartment you get when you move in !"

"Update: They have done a good job of cleaning up the exterior of the building. There are no more roaches and they repainted the building and parking lot. Although they didn’t keep up with fire codes, that issue has also been fixed. Changed from 1 to 3 stars. Here is a comprehensive list of all the issues we have had since moving in at the beginning of August. During the signing process they gave us a lease that was incorrect in multiple ways including the rent amount, room number, move in date, and security deposit amount. They also delayed our move in time by a month after they stopped responding to us. Then they delayed our move in time again by three days once I had already driven 9 hours to move in from my home state. When we finally were able to move in, it was without a stove or microwave or blinds on either of the windows in the living room. The stove and microwave were not installed for 5 days after move in, only upon complaints for around 5 weeks were the living room window blinds installed (we were told it would be 1 week) We were given us the wrong mail key when we moved in and we only received 1/3 keys we required. Upon returning the incorrect key, we were informed that they had lost the actual key to our mailbox and had to drill out and replace the lock. The contracting company they hired messed up the wiring on three of the light switch panels, this has yet to be fixed. They did a terrible paint job in the kitchen cabinets. They left glue all over the linoleum floor and other places including the showers. The managing company don’t respond to my voicemails, often don’t answer my phone calls even during business hours, don’t respond to work orders after weeks. As a summary to anyone looking to move in to Blue Hill Apartments. Don’t. I was a resident before the current managing company took over and they have done nothing but make problems and raise the cost of living here. Adding a sad excuse for a “dog park”, a grill area located by the smelly, cockroach infested dumpsters, and renovating the rooms with poorly done, cosmetic “upgrades” as a way to raise rent my $200 and un-include utilities in rent. Find somewhere else to live, it’s not worth the hassle."

"The apartments have recently been renovated. You can tell it was done relatively quickly, but in general the apartments are nice. We have an apartment that faces the trees in the back which is really beautiful, especially in the fall. Brand new appliances. By far my favorite part is the kitchen. The layout is really open, and there is a lot of counter space. Overall I’ve liked living here. There seems to be a bit of a bug problem, I’ve seen very large spiders and cockroaches on the stairs. Occasionally the roaches end up inside. They have an outdoor grilling/cornhole area but it’s next to the dumpster. One of my major complaints is that there aren’t really sidewalks nearby, so if you want to go on a walk or run, you more than likely have drive somewhere."

"The complex did a beautiful job on the remodeling and is in a great location. My main complaint is with the bugs surrounding the complex and the fact that they sneak in the apartments through cracks. Another temporary inconvenience was the construction during the remodeling process. Our apartment was one of the first ones renovated and so when we moved in we had to deal with loud construction at early hours, even on weekends, for multiple months. Construction would also randomly walk in our apartment as well. Now that renovations are almost complete, this problem has gotten better. Overall, I enjoy living here and think the staff is friendly and helpful"

"This place is not worth the price. Everything with the management has been so confusing and misleading. The place was not finished whatsoever upon arrival, as seen in the photos below (they have still neglected to fix certain things). We have to deal with extremely loud construction every morning and all day with the workers blaring music, so get used to that if you plan to move here. There are endless roaches both outside and in. We had contractors barge into our home multiple times because they didn’t know anyone lived here. The workers also love to leave their trash all over the outside of your living space. I don’t think anyone should live here, you will 100% regret it. It takes days for the management to even get back to you, and they showed little to no concern for the conditions of our apartment. We weren’t even put in the correct apartment that was listed on our welcome letter and described to us. Overall just stay away from this place."
