"5 Star Plus! Fred (service advisor)and service tech, Keith were very good. From the minute I checked in, I felt like I was important to them. Came in for an oil change and tire rotation, 53,000 miles on my Jeep Cherokee, and included their complete vehicle inspection. Loved the way that they provide a video of your vehicle inspection! Keith walked me right through all the work he was completing. Even recommended a transmission fluid change since I had over 50,000 miles on vehicle. Fred was right there to explain the work that was recommended and what the cost would be. All work was completed in less than two hours! By the way, the waiting area was very nice, clean too! Fred checked me out with the cashier and thanked me for choosing Goldstein Jeep! My new go to dealer!! Car washed too!!"
"Brought my Chrysler vehicle here for service. I bought vehicle from the Goldstein GMC store on Central Ave, but was told I need to bring my car to the Latham location for service. They diagnosed a problem, (my airbag sensor light is on) and I paid $170 for that, but they had to order the part (a new seatbelt buckle) so I had to wait to get it fixed. I wait a MONTH and don't hear back so I call and ask about the part. Lady tells me she will call me back, NEVER does for another couple months. Finally I call again and she says they will have it so I scheduled an appt. On the day of my appointment (Wed)I wasn't able to get a ride to the shop at my appt time so I called and let them know I won't to be able to get a ride until later in the day. I drop off my car later the same day. I don't hear anything from them. I called two days later (Friday) and they don't have an update for me. I called again the following Monday, and they tell me they are trying to figure out what's covered under my warranty. Come Tuesday I finally hear back from them stating that they already put the new seat belt buckle in. I also had two other issues at this point, My backup camera is not working and my trunk lights don't work. They advise me it's 170 per hour diagnosis fee and they've already done 2 hours and wanted my authorization to have a third hour to diagnose. I declined that because they were unable to tell me if it was covered under warranty at that time. I talked to the service manager and decide that I just want to come pick up my car. When I asked how much it is, he informs me that the price had gone up from the original price quoted 4 months ago. I was never informed of this increase in price before the work was done. He agrees to the originally quoted price. On the phone he also asked if I need a ride to the dealership as they provide shuttle services, I let him know I was never made aware of this and would not have missed my appt. If I knew about this. I decline and get my own ride to the. I go to pick up my car, i pay for the seat belt buckle being fixed plus the 2 hours of diagnosis fee for the other problems, that didn't even get fixed and they couldn't even figure out what was wrong with my trunk light. As I'm driving away from the dealership, withing 5 minutes My airbag light sensor comes on again. I drive directly back to the dealership and ask to speak to the service manager. He does not come out, My original service advisor comes out and they retest the code. My car is showing it's the same one as before. She says they will re-diagnose it and try to figure out what's wrong. I asked how long this May take because I cannot be without my car any longer. She is unable to give me an estimate and does not say that it will be priority or anything so I declined further business with them and asked for a refund. She says that she will go get the manager to do that. She comes back without him and processes the refund and says they will send me a check, I asked for proof in writing that they are sending a check and she gave us a hard time. The manager never came out and talked to me, Even though I had originally asked to speak to him. That is very unprofessional, letting his employees take the brunt of mistakes and disrespectful to me as a customer that this issue is not important enough for him to take 5min out of the day to talk to me in person. I understand that cars are not always straightforward even to mechanics, put the lack of communication, transparency and unprofessionalism is why I'm leaving a bad review. Attached is a photo of the light coming back on 5 minutes after I left the shop."
