"Update 2 : the collection agency removed the charge. Which I’m very appreciative of, however I shouldn’t have been in this position in the first place.. a collection stays on your report for 7 years .. 1 star to 3 stars UPDATE: after speaking with MAA representative, they said they will have the collection agency remove the $600 carpet replaced charge. Will update review once settled. They gave me a move out statement the day after I moved out with one balance, a week later, I'm sent an "updated" move out statement with an additional 600$. Claimed the carpet needed to be REPLACED! However, the carpeting was inspected the day after I moved out and on the FIRST move Out statement, said the carpeting was GOOD. BEWARE !!! Was sent to collections, has had a terrible effect on my credit worthiness, worst decision I've made in my entire life was moving to Providence at Brier Creek. BEWARE ! Also, was LOCKED OUT of my apartment on move out day, with them KNOWING I had belongings still in the apartment... I had to throw some things away, gave away a gigantic painting, etc . The locks are keypad locks too, so it made absolutely ZERO sense as to why they changed the keypad lock with MY personal belongings still inside."

"Do NOT rent here…. They are money hungry and overcharge for rent and amenities…. They care NOTHING about the residents other than the money they get from them. Take your business and your family elsewhere. None of the residents stay here more than a year or two because of the massive jumps in rent increases especially if they install a digital “smart lock” on your door…. Never rent from MAA AGAIN!!"

"I visited for a day and stay until the evening around 9pm. Dog waste EVERYWHERE. Old waste (dried out and white) and fresh new waste litters the entire length of the gras and sidewalks lining the apartment complex. It noticeably gets cleaner once you pass MAA providence property and cross the street to Lennox, where there is no dog waste. MAA providence is definitely not clearing their property at all. There are no breed restrictions, so I met many aggressive dog breeds while I took a walk. Tons of open marijuana smoking, and lots of booming hip hop in the evening. The exterior of the buildings is pretty and the price is affordable, so take my review for what it’s worth to you."

"I love all the green areas and the fact that it's walkable. It's a convenient location. There's plenty of parking and I feel safe. Amenities are awesome. I use the gym almost every day. As far as the apartments, they're cozy, spacious and clean. No major issues since I moved here. The office staff is very friendly and efficient."

"HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!!!! ANYWHERE IS BETTER!!!! DANGEROUS, DIRTY, and the front office property managers are DELUSIONAL. Last night over 10 cars were broken into and the complex as well as police are happily doing NOTHING. my boyfriend and i have both had our cars broken into since moving here in October!! my window was completely shattered last night as well as multiple other vehicles’ - with many things taken from inside both cars. Today the complex managers have allowed the shattered glass windows to remain lying on the ground until 2pm the following day, just for example to show their negligence regarding the situations. Not to mention an attempted break into my actual apartment thankfully we were able to push the person back outside and they thankfully had no weapon. When the office is confronted with the issues they have no solutions and are exceedingly unwilling to help anything because “break ins could happen anywhere” - via email from the complex itself. The woman in the front told me to call some courtesy office i was not made aware of at move in. What am i supposed to do stay awake all night and watch my car ????????? Not to mention that we’ve had roaches since moving into the apartment and their “pest control” is useless. Overall i’ve lived in 10 different states along the east coast and this is BY FAR the worst complex. I wouldn’t vouch for any apartments in the Brier creek area either. And finally just to add insult to injury nearly ALL AMENITIES have been unavailable for use for the majority of my time spent here; this includes the computer area, gym, and pool. CHOOSE ANYWHERE BUT HERE AND SAVE YOURSELF THE COMPLETE HEADACHE THAT MAA PROVIDENCE IS."
