At the time I interviewed several local companies for comparison. On that foundation, I decided to hire Moldex to do my remedial work and subsequently a full encapsulation of the space. "We recently purchased a home in Highlands, NC. We were told as part of the inspection process that the house had considerable mold in the crawl space, and that this is normal. I do not think mold should ever be “normal” so I called Mold X in Cashiers. Summary: I was shell-shocked by the quote, however, Jesse (owner) and Cheryl (admin) allayed my concerns given the thoroughness of what I could expect to be performed. All that was explained was performed in timely and exacting detail. I could possibly eat off of the crawl-space it was so clean and wrapped in a very heavy vinyl. "I recently purchased a home that had been treated by Mold-X for mold remediation and encapsulation with a dehumidifier.  The inspection report prior to closing showed some issues with the crawl space that we assumed may have been shortfalling on the part of the Mold-X company. We contacted Jesse who immediately sent a crew to the home.  They identified the issue that had been actually caused by another contractor and rectified it that same morning with no charge to us. After we purchased the home, Jesse arranged for his supervisor to come out to the property, again inspect the work and provide us with the transferable guarantee in our names.  Later, Wallace came back to drop off a humidistat so that we could monitor the condition of the crawlspace remotely.  It's the mountains of Western NC, so all of these trips took hours combined.
