"From the first day I went to the complex to check it out , I felt welcomed by the leasing agent. Carol was so professional and friendly. All throughout my move in, they were great! I have been living there not even a week yet, and I feel so at home. I look forward to making new friends."
"I lived at Brampton Moors for 2 1/2 years. During that time I lived in different units. Which actually showed me just how awesome the staff is. Carol and Selena were amazing and super reliable. I blind rented my first unit and it was smaller than I liked but it was clean and well kept and maintenance was responsive within 24 hours. I let Carol and Selena know I was hoping for a bigger unit and when my lease was almost up they called me to let me know something bigger was available. They were flexible and understanding which made me feel like I was more than just a rent payment. I loved the community, it’s kept clean and everyone is quiet and respectful of their neighbors. I was new to NC when I moved here and they made me love it so much."
"Edit to the response: This absolutely is current - I visited with her until her death in 2023. She had tons of floods and critter problems. I lived at Brampton Moors with my dear Hungarian grandma, Ildiko, on and off from 2017-2020. I cannot begin to start on the issues we encountered. First one was during the winter - we had an accessible unit near the end of the lake. You could feel the cold rising up from the carpet, my bedroom NEVER got heat and management never fixed it, and whenever we tried to use the space heater in that room and my grandma tried to use the microwave, it would short circuit the breakers and I'd have to figure out how to turn them back on. Second, the spiders and other critters. We had massive spider problems in my room and I was even ambushed by a spider while showering. I was constantly spraying, checking corners, and killing many of them. My grandma experienced a squirrel breaking into her own apartment and she had to call other folks to help usher it out of her apartment. We also had a lizard get in, but then it disappeared and I never found it again. Additionally, we had a snake incident since we were near the lake and I had to remove it myself and run like hell to the dumpster (that rarely gets emptied). These were adventures that we tolerated. Third, the water and electricity issues. No matter how many times we reported that my room did not get any heat and it would freeze during the winter, not one maintenance person ever fixed it. My grandma's Duke bill would be astronomical for the size of the 2bd 2bth apartment and she'd have to argue with the complex because it was more than she would pay in her house she owned for decades. Then, there were the water breaks from the apartment above. There were many floods above the washer/dryer unit and my grandma's bathroom. It was not cleaned properly and I observed mold starting to grow toward the end of my grandma's stay (due to dementia). I discovered WATER running out from my ELECTRIC CEILING FAN in the bathroom and they didn't take that as a big deal. When they got someone to try to repair the pipe and sheetrock it, that contractor tried to rob my grandma and barter with some of my items claiming she had to also pay him. My grandma had to call someone to get that contractor out of the apartment immediately. He did such a horrid job and ruined everything in my bathroom with plaster. I was never reimbursed. They eventually hired someone to fix the horrific job this first person did, but of course, they didn't bother to clear the plaster from the tub. Fourth, and probably the most disturbing, was that we had a Peeping Tom that consistently stalked me whenever I was at my grandma's apartment. I could hear him breathing outside my window and hear the footsteps thanks to the pine straw. No matter how many times I called the cops, he would run out to the greenway and disappear. We did catch him red handed and I gave a very, very detailed description to Cary PD. Others also were victims of this man especially if they were women on the ground floor. It terrified me for years to the point where I did not feel safe sleeping overnight and became nocturnal. We had to invest in metal pieces to make sure the windows couldn't be popped, an alarm system, and eventually the complex installed brighter lights in the darker places because more women filed a complaint with Cary PD. Cary PD never took my concerns seriously, and the complex shrugged it off. I was later told that the PD knows who it is, a former resident, and that the management also knew but couldn't share the identity for privacy reasons. I did NOT feel safe and I felt watched. Nearly all the stalking incidents were when I lived with her - when I wasn't with her, they didn't happen. I hate that this happened because I would've liked to spend more time with my grandma, but in the end, that + no heat + bugs kept me from doing so after I hit a breaking point in 2020. There were some cases when maintenance did come for an emergency, but it's because my grandma befriended them. Stay away, please."
"I recently just moved from another country and came to Brampton Moors and fell in love with it. I met Quiannia, she was amazing! She was able to help us so much through our transition. Carol was great help as well. She even translated the conversation for me so that I could understand. The staff went above and beyond and we are truly grateful for them. Thanks to them we have a home! Thank you all and I highly recommend this place."
"Brampton Moores is the worst place to live. It has the worst management and the worst maintenance group. They came to my apartment to do 22 holes on the walls on the ceiling and everywhere using the excuse of piping replaced. They left with the unfinished job and left my apartment with insulation hanging from the ceiling and walls the laundry room with no light and blowing insulation every time that I start my dryer machine I was in the office on Monday asking them to come and fix Elise my laundry room they never came to fix it. When I was complaining in the office for all this damage, the lady told me she feel sorry for but I have to understand them. She said she was like that for a like that was going to make me feel better ate Sims like they ignored me and I’m pretty sure they do with everybody. Glad that I’m going to move soon."
