"3 stars and my photos have been viewed over 100 times, so that should be enough to encourage you to quickly search elsewhere, however, it’s hard times so if you do have to bite the bullet and live here, here are some things that made my 3 years here more manageable: 1. Go into this knowing this company & property management team does not prioritize the happiness or even comfortability of their tenants, the priority is to escape accountability and make money. I have had my bathroom decor be ruined a whopping 3 times from pipe leaks from my upstairs neighbors and never anything off my rent, stipend to replace my decor that continued to be ruined at the fault of the company. The most they do is give you a loud dryer to dry the carpet if it’s wet. They do not replace it. My father hired a 3rd party company to come in my apartment to DISINFECT AND REPLACE the soaked padding underneath the carpet because this property was unwilling to do it and without it, mold could grow and cause my daughter and I to be very sick. 2. Understand the infrastructure of these buildings is easily dated back to 1980. With that being said, you will have constant leaks from neighboring pipes bursting, you will have cracks in your foundation enabling lots of bugs to get it in all year round. 3. The “amenities” are always fluctuating times to be broken. Car service station vacuum is typically broken once a month, equipment in the gym is the same at least one item is also broken, the other day I went to the leasing office to get the free coffee they advertise and they had no cups. I asked and they just advised they were out . We have a Harris Teeter and $1 Store around the corner ?!? Why wouldn’t you just go grab some. 4. They will try to kick you out so know the rights you have as a tenant. Patricia Bange was a property manager that lied and tried to have me removed from the property under false pretenses and long-story short, I stayed right in my apartment after proving her claims were racially charges and false . There is a new property manager, and you can create your own opinion of her upon moving here. By the end of my last year, I just realized to fix problems myself and that’s what I do. If nothing else I am more than ready to be a homeowner now !! 3. Tips: - Track everything in email - invest in a good home defense bug spray - record all interaction with office staff - plan on spending $40 or so to rent a carpet cleaner, the carpets will be gross. I am so glad to be moving out and finally be closer to having peace of mind in the place I stay. I hated I had to stay here so long but God granted me a new amazing place in just the right time. I’m just thankful I had support of my family to help fill in gaps that the community should have done but didn’t. I think about my job and how my literal job is to work to make people’s lives better and I love that because life is already hard; and I wonder why people would work for a company that directly makes the lives of the people living there harder. Oh but don’t forget the random one-off “community” events with random things nobody in the community asked for like: breakfast on the go, snacks in the office, or whatever else . Ironically if they just treated the people here better they wouldn’t need to waste money on community events nobody shows up to. If I did a month to month my rent would be $1700+, for non-upgraded appliances…the fridge is WHITE, jail room ceilings and walls (the bumpy kind), no upgraded kitchen appliances, filthy carpets, crumbling structure, and subpar service. Mind you this is more expensive and significantly less quality than my new home which was built JUST last year with 100% upgraded everything . This company and property is a literal joke. As far as the generic response: listen, people reading reviews do not believe those responses . Addressing an issue does not mean you solved the issue or made the residents life living here anymore enjoyable. If anything, try the Brier Creek Bexley. "I went to the Bexley in Brier Creek & my tour of the community was great. I thought I would try Bexley Park in Morrisville to see if there was a difference in rent. Either location fit my needs. I am ready to move in the next 2 weeks. After getting all the information I was ready to see the apartment that they said was on special. I then was told by Elizabeth (exceptionally rude)that she was booked & could not show me the floor plan I was interested in. It was 4:30 and the mgr and Elizabeth said she was waiting on the her 5 p.m. appointment. The mgr came out of her office and said she leaves at 5:30 but she could take me to the model which was not the same floor plan. If you have apartments on special that you're offering one month free and you're not taking the people that walk in your front door that are in need, it just doesn't make sense. Waiting for a possible booked appointment & turning away the people that walking in your front door is just very poor customer service. I had viewed seven other apartment communities today and was a property manager for 30 years. I have never seen this in the market. Perhaps if you didn't turn people away you possibly wouldn't have to give a special on your vacant apartments. Perhaps they would be occupied. I will not go back to Bexley Park. Just my opinion!!!"
"Beware!!! This is the worst property I have ever lived at. The day of my move in the apartment was beyond disgusting. It was roach infested, mold on the refrigerator, the freezer, on the back splash to the sink, and in the dishwasher. Rips in the vinyl flooring, paint splatter everywhere and ripples in the floor. Old cooking greaser and residue all over the walls and stove. Missing light bubs, dirty bathrooms, cigarette burns in the toilet seat, and the toilets were unstable. It was clear the apartment had not been cleaned or walked through. I could not believe how horrible it was. Fast forward a year later and I moved out leaving the apartment spotless. To only be charged $300 dollars for the vinyl flooring that was already subpar, covered in paint and ripped. I tried to dispute these charges because clearly it was in that state when I moved in and I was told this was a partial fee for the damage I caused. I wish I could post pictures of this horrendous apartment I was given. Rent at your own risk!"
"Roach filled apartments, poor management, dirty pool. When they show you the property, superficially everything will look good but as soon as you start living you will be welcomed by roaches, creaking floors, spider webbed staircases and what not. Also, when you decide to move out in between of your lease they will not list your property for rent for the full time till someone signs the lease and they charge you for the remaining days of the lease in the name of “unfortunate event”. So be very careful and decide wisely."
"I have lived out here for a while now. Amazing! Beautiful wooded community with friendly staff. It’s always Hey, hope all is going great! I have placed a few work orders in and boy, was the maintenance staff quick to respond and completed the same day! Friendly and respectful, and even played with my pups! Could not ask for a better place. Oh not to mention I easily can count 5 grocery stores, tons of restaurants, big name shopping centers and RDU right up the road. Bexley Park totally Rocks!"
