University Square Senior Apartments

"I had a disappointing experience with this senior living apartment complex. The person(s) I spoke to on the phone displayed rudeness and lacked basic customer service skills. Her responses were curt, and it was evident she had no interest in assisting me with my inquiries. What's more, my initial call during the weekday went unanswered. When I tried again the following week, I was told they had no units available. However, a few days later, I received a call asking the purpose of my previous call (despite leaving a voicemail detailing my questions), and they suddenly had one unit available. Clearly, improved communication and professionalism among the staff are sorely needed. I was inquiring on behalf of a family member, and based on this experience, I would not trust this place to provide quality and compassionate service to anyone. I strongly recommend considering other senior living options where better communication and professionalism are prioritized. You'll likely find a more suitable and caring living environment elsewhere."

"I thought I loved this place for my mom, however I'm concerned at the lack of courtesy and concern they have for their tenants. I'm very concerned about my mother living in this facility. After attempting to reach my mother and not hearing from her in few days, my sisters and I began to worry. I called the front office asking if they could do a wellness check and was informed by Lynette that they can not knock on my mother's door to see if she's okay and that they don't perform wellness checks, since it's not an assisted living facility. I was told that I need to contact 311. A stranger would knock on a neighbor's door in the community, if they wondered about their safety. I don't understand how walking down the hall is so difficult. My mother is mobile and able to care or herself, however she is senior citizen. This is a senior living facility with an office Admin on staff. The lack of concern they have for people and their tenants is baffling. I bet if they didn't get their rent money, they would walk a few doors down to knock on the door."

"I wanted to take a minute to share my experience at University Square. Often, we are quick to report poor customer service or something negative. My experience as awesome. I've been searching for a place for my mother. From the first conversation with Ms. Nikki, she was very warming and friendly. She answered all of my questions and was flexible to meet with my mother and me. Even in the mix of her busy schedule of getting ready for the holiday Christmas party and vacation, she provided a tour of the building. She also assisted with completing the application. This experience made me feel at ease to know my mother would be taken care of and in a safe environment. Thank you so much, Ms. Nikki."

"The lady on the phone was very disrespectful when I was trying to talk to her about my grandmother. I asked her to send me information to my email and she was trash. Can’t help people like her probably very unhappy with life and where she works."

"What an adorable place for seniors! It has a community garden and each floor has a room for them to use (sewing room, book clubs, exercise rooms, etc) as well as a place for laundry on each floor and a cute little club house! Absolutely adore this place, I wouldn't mind growing old here!"
