Cyan Mallard Creek Apartments

"Living here has been horrible the last three months. We had a situation a while back where the fire inspector came into our apartment unannounced with no notice, I saw it on my camera and called the office where they blatantly lied to me and gave me the run around; that should've been foreshadowing. Conservice over charged our water buy $100. I advised the leasing office that this was wrong as my roommate had been gone for a few months at that point and I was alone. The team at Cyan Mallard Creek has been making it nearly impossible to resolve this. They gave us no choice but to pay the extra money on our rent and when I asked FOUR times to speak with a manager about why this happened they refused to have a manager call me and gave me the run around again. This has been so unprofessional and so costly to deal with i know that Natalia is doing her job and her best but the management team is embarassing her by refusing to take ownership of the issue and speak to me about resolving. Do not move here unless you wanna be treated poorly."

"When I first moved to Cyan apartments, I was extremely happy and loved everything about our new apartment. A month or so after moving in, we started having issues with the neighbors beneath us. They were constantly banging on the ceiling and being extremely rude day and night because we simply “existed”. We had sooo many complaints about “noises” any time we cooked, walked, or accidentally dropped something. We never disrespected them, but the office kept asking US to transfer to a different floor even though we moved in first. Fast forward, we moved to a bottom floor apartment. Worst decision ever! This new apartment (had only been built for a year) had many issues. The previous tenants trashed it completely and damaged the dishwasher and fridge. Cyan did not take care of that before leasing it to us. Also, since living at Cyan, both of our vehicles have been vandalized and when we asked them to help us send the video footage to the Mecklenburg police department (because according to them we cannot look at it) they basically refused to help. It was definitely a downgrade as our first apartment was bigger, had more parking space, we were the first tenants to live there, everything worked properly and our rent was the same. Maintenance arrived in a timely manner, but nothing has been fixed. Our ice maker and dishwasher hasn’t worked since we moved in back in September of 2023. For $2200 a month everything should be working properly. Also, the lady in the front office (I do not recall her name) is NO HELP. I don’t know why she was hired honestly. Her customer service sucks to say the least. I recommended a friend and he moved in, but I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone again."

"For your sake please do not move here. I have lived here over a year now and made the stupid decision of renewing my lease. The management is unexperienced and unprofessional. They implemented a parking situation where you can only have one visitor at a time per household (imagine if 3 people are on the lease) but there is plenty of parking available, people complain because they don't have parking right in front of their house. We live in an apartment and that's the way the apartments were built. But there is plenty of parking near the apartment. Implementing a visitors pass does not stop their complaint because visitors can still park right in front the building. Elizabeth is rude and never knows the answer to anything! They do not do a complete process on people that move in they do not double check their pay stubs properly, therefore people move in and don't pay rent for 4 months and have eviction notices, not to mention drug dealers living on the property. They make you resubmit stuff instead of just going to get the information themselves but they decide to inconvenience you. Not to mention they do not have a current manager right now, but try to cover it up when you call. Please IRT Living you need to hire a whole new staff before this becomes a serious problem. I truly wish I could give them 0 stars. I've never experienced such terrible management at an apartment complex, including my encounter with corporate. If you like the area there are plenty of other apartments near that I hear are not as bad. The staff here even wants to leave due to it being so unorganized. Please do not respond telling me to reach out to discuss this further."

"I have been Apartment searching for the last 2months reading reviews taking tours etc! Well I’ve finally found my home Cyan is close to everything I needed like the concord mills Mall, great food, movies, all kinds of stuff! The property itself is Really nice and clean great pool and amenities as well I was lucky enough to get a ground floor apt so I don’t have to worry about the stairs lol also I love they have a parking system in place to where all residents get a permit for our cars because my last place was a free for all and I never had anywhere to park if I got home to late! Also I might add the office staff has been great! Even the maintenance guys"
