"I had the best experience with my apartment tour guide! Tavarus was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure I had all the information I needed. He showed me the features of the apartment and answered all my concerning questions. Highly recommend!"
"I've held on to this one star for a long time due to fear of retaliation from the management, but at this point, it is time to say my piece. This place is almost entirely filled with people who do drugs and smell like said drugs or act very uncivilized. Skyhouse can't be at blame for other's actions theoretically, but why allow people who make the halls, lobby, and elevators smell like weed and end up harming amenities during parties? Homeless people commonly walk to the parking garage and will harass you. I've had some that were civil and some that threatened me with violence. Skyhouse can't do anything about it because its not their garage. They just use it. I mean, the homeless people will even urinate anywhere they want in the garage or even defecate in the stairwell. At the moment I am typing this, all elevators are broken. Out of order. So you may ask, "Couldn't I just take the stairs?". No... you can't. The stairwell is for emergency purposes. You can not enter a floor from the stairwell unless you prop open the door (which they wouldn't approve of). My neighbor and his wife are handicapped... explain to me how this man who needs medical care often is going to get out of the building and back up? The management and concierge teams have changed multiple times, and while the newest concierge group is great, I don't think that the management does a good job. The newest manager made us all register pets using some online service that require a fee to be paid for each pet and upload all their documents. This was never in our lease because when we all signed originally, we simply paid a pet rent and called it a day. Its infuriating that they just came in and theoretically said, "I'm gonna force everyone to go out of their way to make their lives harder, with veiled threats for those who didn't." Oh, and don't forget the dog poop and pee that will happen sometimes. It has gotten better over time, but it does still happen, and nobody cares. As someone who works from home and only needs to experience the building every so often, I can manage until my lease ends.... but if I was an office worker coming in and out every day and had to deal with a lot of this stuff more often, I would do whatever I could to break my lease early. For the prices they charge, it is nowhere near worth it. And since everyone knows they will occasionally get their reviews deleted, but if mine is, I will put it back up... I am typing this review on 11/15/23"
"The stars only come from dealing with Samantha who was pleasant and communicative over phone & email to get me into the unit… However, the day I went to see the unit was a disaster. (Samantha was not there). First off it’s dirty and a bit ghetto. When I came, I was toured by a not so great leasing agent (had short blue hair cut) she really acted like she didn’t want to do her job or sell me. Made me wait 20 minutes just to show me around. Sucked on a smoothie and scrolled on instagram throughout the tour. Didn’t explain anything in detail. The elevators and halls smelled like urine & weed. I was approved to stay and everything but quickly found somewhere to move the same day. Also, they add an additional $500 to your move in fees along with your deposit fyi. They literally wanted almost $4k in move in fees for this mid city experience. I wouldn’t recommend. PS: you have to pay $12 for parking just to tour. The leasing agent didn’t even advise or offer to validate my parking pass smh."
"The city skyline view from our south facing top floor apartment is lovely, but that’s where the upside ends. The aging facilities, the unresponsive and unkind management team, the community college dorm like tenant mix, have made for a poor experience overall. If you happen to be in your early twenties, enjoy loud music pulsating from the hallways, appreciate the sweet funk of pot just about everywhere, and are unaffected by the stench of dog urine, then chances are you’ll really enjoy living here. Thankfully our stay here was planned to be brief."
